Crocs huge cost increase - any discount codes?

I've just tried to buy my DD some new crocs and I'm horrified that at age 8 she is already being charged for adult shoes Shock. She needs a size 4 but their 'teen' sizing only goes up to size 3, so instead of £19.99 it is suddenly £29.99. I guess this is because of the tax on adult footwear, but she isn't an adult, just has long feet (sob). Does anyone know any discount codes that might ease the shock?

Thanks!

Sports direct do children's crocs £9.99. ?

hashtagwhatever · 15/05/2014 11:53

And adults I was supposed to say.

clux73 · 15/05/2014 11:55

TK Maxx had kids and adult crocs in stock today - not a huge range of colours though - pink, green, navy, red. The kids ones were £7.99 but I didn't check the price of the adult ones

JennyWren · 15/05/2014 12:05

Thank you both! we don't have a TK Maxx near us but I think there is a Sports Direct not too far away, so I'll try in there, or I could buy online. I also put a post on the Promotional Codes board and MrsCakesPremonition has suggested class="underline">viewsize=24&utmmedium=affiliate&network=affiliatewindow&awc=19471400151822_51b726100bf959873515b06e867eb657&lid=AW1 MandM Direct so I'm going to give them a try.

If she's only 8yo do they have to be actual crocs? Asda, market stalls, Tesco normally sell a version which are just the same for £5. Brantano as well.

JennyWren · 15/05/2014 14:08

Ah, but my DH likes the brands, Viva... I'd be happy with the cheapies, and so would DD, really - she's not into brand names at all. But it is once a year at most, and I don't begrudge it really - we can afford the full price, it just seems overpriced and I'd rather spend less Smile.

Second Sports Direct, I got DS some in there for about £8. DD has havs flip flops from TK max for £5ish - never pay full price for plastic shoes Grin

ihearttc · 15/05/2014 14:33

They had the bigger sized ones in Sports Direct...I got DS1 some in a 5 for £12.50

CointreauVersial · 15/05/2014 21:47

DH likes the brands, does he?

Suggest DH pays, then. Grin

JennyWren · 15/05/2014 22:06

Ah, I've been a bit mean to him. It isn't finding the money to pay, its just that I rebel against paying £30 for something that doesn't need to cost that much. Even with a 'brand name premium', £30 a pair seems OTT. Just me being curmudgeonly Smile

Amazon often have them at competitive prices - particularly the slightly less popular cokours.

Bibbitybobbetyboo · 15/05/2014 22:10

That should obviously be colours!

peaz · 15/05/2014 22:59

If you're near an outlet store they often have discounts.

cerealqueen · 15/05/2014 23:36

Secondhand, ebay, washable anyway so why buy new at that price?!

NiceOneCenturion · 16/05/2014 07:36

Yes, check out Amazon, they often do a range of different prices depending on the colour, if you watch it you can usually get a good deal. My 3 year old is in a size 10/11 (already!) and I've always managed to get him some from there.

He has very wide feet and the proper branded Crocs seem to be a really good fit on him. I'm not bothered about brand names but in this instance the cheaper ones tend to rub and the material seems not as soft as the originals in the ones I've tried.
