Its another bra help thread!

Ok, so, following the advice on this thread I measured myself, 30 bust line, 34.5 over in bent over position. This made me a 32D (30 wont meet on me!) instead of 34 B. Imagine my shock! So I went to debenhams on a shopping excursion. I brought both 32C and 32D with me to try on, C was crazy small, D meant I had flab being pushed up to my armpits which I never had before! So, I tried 32DD. These fit on me, no flab pushed anywhere, so (partially sick of trying on about 20 bras) I bought them. Now 2 days later, I dunno. The underwire on the side of the bra is very far from where my breasts are, it curves around right into the middle of my armpit. The cups also do seem too empty, especially when I sit down. And my GOD the pain from the underwiring after a couple of hours, its agony. The bra itself is just so big compared to what Im used to, my whole chest seems to be covered in a bra, maybe this is normal, but it doesnt look right to me. I have the same make bra as the ones I bought in a 34B and it just looks cuter on. Help! Are my bewbs hopeless? Smile

Oh, and due to my pain, I measured the bra itself, and it is 26/27 inches around, my 34B one was 27/28 inches around. I assume this is normal and the bra is meant to stretch by a few inches?!

Are you bending forward and scooping the boobage into the cup?

puffinface · 15/05/2014 11:32

Yup, I did that. My boobs aren't massive anyway, so theres not much to scoop, but everything I have is in there! One bra is not too bad, it could be the shape thats off, but the one thats better isnt great either! Hmm...

Not one

Not one I have tried but I would hazard a guess is runs small. Cup wise I think what might be going on is that your breasts are relatively narrow rooted, but deep. The bra I suspect is shallower and wider -so you've had to go up in the cup to get enough depth /protection so you don't get quad boob, but in doing so the cups have wound up being too wide for you. Does that make sense?

I'd suggest trying something from one of the good d plus manufacturers. Maybe Cleo in the marcie, meg, Minnie, millie or juna. And try a 30d and 30dd -with a 30" underbust a 30 in those will definitely fasten. I'm a 30 myself

puffinface · 15/05/2014 11:51

Thats possibly the case. Unfortunately/ fortunately I have little to no "cushion" on my ribs, so even if I got a 30 to close, I think I would die! Smile I tried on several brands in Debenhams, their own DD bras being so small my boobs looked squashed! One plus with these new bras, though they are a bit big, is that the straps dont fall down, which was a constant annoyance with me. I thought I had weird shoulders! These bras are a moulded cup, would that make a difference? In that, they dont move with my shape when I bend over etc.

Moulded are harder to get a good fit with which could be making the wrong shape issue worse. The Debenhams gorgeous range is also ridiculously small -it is the only bra I own in a 32! I would suggest the ones above but maybe order from somewhere with free returns and try the 30 and 32.

Much thankies! Thanks
