Protect and perfect is for whippersnappers dearie.

Us oldies need Lift and Luminate dontcha know.

That said, I still buy P and P serum. The rest of the range is a bit Emperor's New Clothes, but the serum does do something. It doesn't take away the years, but it kind of smooths them out slightly.....Grin

Oooo excited now. I've just bought some this morning.

I'm expecting to look positively radiant and at least 10 years younger this time next week Grin........or am I being unrealistic Confused

If you are worried about dark spots/uneven skin tone, deep lines and collagen loss, try Lift & Luminate. If just Deep Lines, P&P Intense Advanced. Boots are giving out £5 off vouchers at the moment, you could always try one one month, the other the next! x

Fluffy, do you work for boots?

FluffyDucky · 14/05/2014 21:46

Yes :)

Greengardenpixie · 14/05/2014 22:01

I use protect and perfect serum and moisturiser. Definetly makes a difference. I find it excellent. Smooths out skin. I went through a rubbish patch with my skin. Lots of pimples under the skin. After a number of weeks the improvement in my skin was amazing. Its great stuff. I am 46 and use it.

breakingtradition · 15/05/2014 09:25

Ok, so I've tried it for the first time this morning, but wasn't really sure how much to use. I didn't think you'd need much, but it disappears really quickly, so you kind of lose track of how much you're putting on.

Also, how long do you wait before you apply your moisturiser?

polyhymnia · 15/05/2014 09:50

Yes had worked out you worked got Boots. fluffy!

polyhymnia · 15/05/2014 09:50

'For Boots'!

polyhymnia · 15/05/2014 09:52

To answer Breaking's question I usually leave 5 minutes between serum and moisturiser but think you could get away with less.

breakingtradition · 15/05/2014 10:03

Ah thanks poly.
Even though it doesn't feel as greasy as my old serum, when I applied my moisturiser, they mixed together and it felt really wet. It changed the texture of my moisturiser. Usually it feels quite thick, so I'm not sure what's going on there.

polyhymnia · 15/05/2014 10:20

Yes, I do think you have to give the serum a few minutes to sink in. I usually get on with other 'getting ready' tasks while waiting.

FluffyDucky · 15/05/2014 13:14

haha here was me thinking I was all mysterious! You only need about the size of a skittle, by the time you screw the top of your serum on and unscrew the moisturiser that's enough time.

breakingtradition · 16/05/2014 10:51

Ok, well I'm on my second day and have to say, so far, if anything, my skin looks a little more dull than it did when I was using my other olay serum. I know I'm only on day two, so I guess we'll see

Is it really a case of less is more with this stuff? Cos when I put on the recommended amount, I feel like I need a lot more.

Greengardenpixie · 17/05/2014 08:39

It takes at least a fortnight perhaps longer to see any
improvement. Tbh, i suppose it will depend on the individual skin. I am terrible for breaking out in spots [even at 46] and it has never had an adverse reaction.

I notice that they have changed the intense to another name. Is is different? Does anyone know?...maybe it is just rebranding.

baskingseals · 17/05/2014 09:15

Is it okay to just use the serum or do you really have to put a moisturiser on top? And if you do, can you use something like Nivea?

Greengardenpixie · 17/05/2014 09:33

If you just put the serum on you wont have any spf protection. I have used it on its own with another moisturiser. Its ok...have only done it when i have run out or skint! Its fine but i suppose to get full effect you need to use both, especially at the beginning. They both do work well together.
