To all those with poor irritated dry skin, I'm at a loss. Thinking la roche posey or avene?

I have tried everything and probably spent thousands :(

Currently on dermalogica and it's bleed my finances dry and honestly my skin has never been worse :(

I have been doing oil cleansing for past week and not notice any change.

I have the derma flannel which I use 3x weekly, on top of exfoliating with st Ives, regular moisturising face masks.

It's honestly awful, I struggle to wear any makeup but need to cos my skin is so red, irritated and so bloody dry.

I need help, serious help. I'm only 30 and my skin looks at least 10 years older at moment.

Avene is great. And yes, FGS leave your poor skin alone!

I have seen so much recently on the S&B boards about La Roche Posay. I've been using it for a month and my skin is just the same. No miracles here. Sad

Too much exfoliating for sure. Once a week is plenty until it's more settled. Try ren omega oil serum. Ace stuff. Gentle cleanse then the ren and a good moisturiser.

My skin is same as yours but I have hormonal acne too. The acne is better since I stopped being so harsh to my skin and the dryness is much improved too

Ultrabland by Lush is a good facial cleanser for sensitive types.

I love their dream cream, dream wash and helping hands for hands and body.

What about a plain plant/vegetable based bar soap? I find Oliva - cheap as chips in green packaging in Holland and Barrett etc - great for my eczema and v dry and sensitive skin. Dove cream soap too, esp the unfragranced one on my face.

Castille soap is also meant to be great but I've never tried it myself. Dr Bronner is one brand.

I only use a facecloth to exfoliate and no more than a couple of times a week.
