How to slim down arms?

I workout regularly and am not overweight;I'm a size 10 on my bottom half but generally a 12 on the top as I have large boobs. My problem though is my arms. Nothing that I do seems to slim them or tone them. Like I said, I workout regularly, but they still look the same.

The problem is too that because my boobs are quite big (30G), I look very 'big' and matronly on my top half when they are combined with my arms. I think if my arms were slimmer I'd look better overall on my top half. We were out at a restaurant recently and there was a mirror facing our table and looking at my top half in the mirror I looked like I was really overweight because of my arms and boobs.

Is having nice slim little arms a genetic thing? Does anyone know of anything that I could do? Sorry if this sounds a very random post!

Arm exercises help, using weights have definitely helped me a little bit so far.

What weight size do you use, trikken? I do weights and arm exercises regularly (4+ times per week I'd say) using 2lb weights

Tricep dips work of the devil but work?

I posted about this recently - I'm a size 6, but my arms are (relatively) big and quite flabby. I never wear sleevless tops or dresses because they just look so out of proportion.

I've been doing Tracy Anderson's "mat arms with weights" (on youtube) every day - she promises small, "dancer's arms". Lots of posters on MN have said they've seen really good results from TA, so could be worth a try?

I think that genetics plays a part. I'm a pear shape with a slim upper body, including arms and I don't have to do anything to have slim arms. In fact, when I use even light weights my arms bulk up (I hate it when I read that this isn't possible for women as I get muscular very quickly). However, I have the opposite problem - I will never have really slim thighs. Again, my legs actually look slimmer when I don't exercise regularly (but I enjoy being fit and healthy so I do exercise).

Is there a kettlebells class at your gym? If so, I'd recommend it. I've been doing kettlebells for years now and have slim, toned arms with good definition. I use a 16kg weight but that's because I've progressed over the years! I used to do Tracy Anderson and found her workouts quite good.

I think it's quite a bit if genetics I'm afraid. I'm size 10 large boobs and arms nearly the same curcumfrence as my thighs despite found pilates for 4 years. My mum and duster are the same shape. If there was anywhere I would have surgery it would be in my arms.

I just try and dress to cover the tops and use false tan as they don't look anywhere as bad with a bit of golden tan.

*sister not duster. That would be an odd shaped duster.

I think it is impossible to spot reduce, but it is possible to tone your arms up by doing various exercises (weights, bodyweight, kettlebells, etc). Basically, when you lose weight your body decides where it's going to use fat cells from and there is nothing you can do to make it use fat cells from your arms rather than your thighs. So when I lose weight, my arms and breasts become smaller way before my bottom does and by the time I get lower body the way I like it, I look really tiny in my upper body.
Probably not something you wanted to hear, but by doing upper body exercises you can tone them which will make a huge difference in appearance.
