To ask where you buy your DD's clothes?

My DD is 9 and i find it hard to buy clothes that dont look too old for her are also not too short.My DD is tall for her age and has a sporty build so some clothes just do not fit correctly.

Watching with interest as I have a 4 year old who wears aged 7!

H&M!

I tend to buy from George at asda. It's inexpensive but decent quality. I don't think I've ever had anything wear really badly, I tend to pass it all on in good condition. They have a sale on at the moment too!
My DD doesn't wear trousers well at all, even with the adjustable waistband they don't stay up so I bought her some braces from debenhams! She doesn't like them but the amount of comments I've had (even from random strangers in the street which I really hate) about her builders bum, I had to do something!

Used to buy H&M but it seems to be for the very slim child, mine is sporty and is starting to develop bum and hips, her face dropped when we went there a couple of weeks ago and she couldnt fit into their jeans, same with next when she could before. She is not overweight but they were tight.

I get a lot from Asda/Tesco, topping them up with high street shops.

I wonder whether it's the sizing that's out or we both have tall DC Wolfie, because my 4 YO has to have 6/7 tops and 5/6 trousers.

She was on the 98th centile when we used the red book, I just thought we'd got yet another giant

George at Asda are brilliant for clothes for my tall, skinny DD (5.5). They wash brilliantly and most trousers/skirts come with those adjustable waist elastic thingys. The range in the larger stores is better.

I used to rate Primark but everything I bought last summer faded horribly or twisted/shrank within two or three washes. A lot of my friends buy from H&M.

Bought a couple of bits from tesco but wash and wear not very good IMO

My DD is only 3.5 but she is tall for her age and in asda's 4-5 so not massive. I'm fairly sure their older girls range is stuff that I would put my 3yo in so not that old looking.

Yes i think primark quality has gone down hill

Johnnie B/ Boden - adjustable elastic waists and regular and long length. Perfect for sporty build.

Mini boden, joules and the odd bit from next. Mini boden have very adjustable waist trousers usually with a popper fastening for ease.

I like this scatch and sniff t-shirt but what if it smells rank?

Sainsburys or Asda for DD as I like the colours and styles in there.
DS is a little on the chunky side so often get his from M and S as they do more stretchy waist stuff. I can get a bigger size but they end up falling down! Also the colours tend to be brighter in there.

I have a tall, skinny 8 year-old. She still likes the clothes in the younger girls sections but they don't fit. I get some things from ASDA, H&M used to be good but the older girls clothes are very teenagery.

I buy some things in more expensive shops in the sales - GAP is good and FatFace.

I buy a few bits from Johnie B but only when on sale etc. they are good sizeing, im wondering if there are other places.

If I had the money it'd be next.

DS would be in sports direct if he had his way.

Next, George, Fat Face, Mini Boden - usually via ebay though!

I find H & M slightly too old for my 10 year old, if I have money or my mum buys stuff, it's M & S for me, I like the look of the clothes, they wear really well and can be passed on, also Gap if in the sale. They have a nice denim dress there at the moment, and I also get denim jackets to go over other things.

If I don't have so much money, it's sale stuff, Next leggings, cheapie t-shirts from supermarkets, but often a size or more up if they are of a stockier/sporty build (one of mine is, one isn't).
