Nightie with short sleeves and integral bra-support - help me find my Holy Grail of Nightwear

Please help because I am about to give up Sad

Here are my criteria:
Cotton (not negotiable)
Mini-shirt/knee-length
Short sleeves (at a push cap sleeves, but not straps/vest style)
Integral bra or cropped top type shelf thingie Grin
Ideally NOT Empire-line - just makes me look pregnant.

I'm a 34G and have looked at Brastop and Bravissimo, but it's all a bit dire.

Help!!

too few criteria met? - also in black.

PacificDogwood · 11/05/2014 17:04

Oh, wow, the QVC ones might be it - thank you Smile, callow

And the Calvin Klein one is rather nice, but long-sleeved…, thanks to you too, MrsLettuce

The Calvin one is model unfortunately and I personally only like to wear cotton to bed as it has breathability rather than feeling like a sausage in a wrapper.

BindiBach · 11/05/2014 18:52

sorry...modal

BindiBach · 11/05/2014 18:54

Sorry but for me the QVC ones are not sexy enough for bed. I love the look of the Calvin and the fit but not the material.

BindiBach · 11/05/2014 18:55

I shall continue my search. Many thanks for the thread and the help though Smile

PacificDogwood · 11/05/2014 20:55

Modal is v posh, high quality cotton - go for it Smile!

I know the QVC ones are not at all sexy or even stylish, but they fit the bill Grin

No its not Pacific its man made from cellulose. Its not something I like to wear to bed.

BindiBach · 11/05/2014 21:00

I don't mind it mixed with other materials though but not for bed.

PacificDogwood · 11/05/2014 21:02

oh wow, I did not know that, thanks! Smile I like Modal.

OP posts:
BindiBach · 11/05/2014 21:08

Its like Viscose.

PacificDogwood · 11/05/2014 21:12

See, I don't really mind that either too much Blush

BindiBach · 11/05/2014 21:14

Ahhh your younger than me then Wink

PacificDogwood · 11/05/2014 21:15

Ah. Maybe. Not be much, I'd guess Wink 48

You see since I got some hot flushes I cant bear the thought of anything other than cotton next to my skin.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 11/05/2014 21:21

I was going to suggest Carole Hochman too - Costco sell some too but less of a range.

(I have Carole H leesure robes zip-fronted so I don't scare the neighbours when I waft round the garden ) Grin

PacificDogwood · 11/05/2014 21:58

I have Carole H leesure robes zip-fronted so I don't scare the neighbours when I waft round the garden - is that when you're cutting grass with kitchen scissors Grin

I am going to sleep on this earth shattering decision, I think. The Hotmilk one is nicer, several web sites disagree with each other whether it's cotton or viscose. The Carol Hochman ones are a bit 'mummy', but, hell, my seduction days are over, hallelujah Wink.

The Calvin Klein one looks to warm for the summer, but does look naice…

Decisions, decisions...

That's the one Pacific Blush I'm rumbled.

And when I put the bins out

BindiBach · 11/05/2014 22:20

Awwww...shame your seduction days are over.

PacificDogwood · 11/05/2014 23:15

There IS a gap in the market, isn't there?
The old thread I linked to above was about somebody trying to set something up - in 2009. It does not seem to have taken the nightwear world by storm, sadly.

Seduction is such hard work Grin - comfort all the way for me…
Hotmilk IS a dreadful name, I came across them when I was in the market for BFing bras etc and the name alone put me off.

And I've learnt a lot (Modal, Viscose, Carol H - who knew?!), so thank you all for your contributions and suggestions. I luffs MN for this kind of stuff Smile

Smile
PacificDogwood · 16/05/2014 22:36

Well, I bought the 'odd' one Wink and it is very, very nice - I am v pleased. Good price too.
I am quite tempted to get it in the red colour too, but now refuse to pay more than £27 for it Grin
I am a size 14 34G and the 'large' fits perfectly.

Just thought I'd let you know.

I am about to order this too. Is it 95 per cent cotton as stated on that website? I love navy and am tired of sleeping in DH's cotton t-shirts

PacificDogwood · 17/05/2014 22:40

Well, the label says 95% cotton/5%elastan AND 95% viscose/5%elastan. V confusing. I presume one is the inner shelf bra and one the outer nightie shell? I couldn't tell you which is which but I slept well last night Wink
