and your OH looks you up and down and says "that doesn't go at all"
Do you get changed?

Navy 7/8 trousers
Navy thick lace sleeveless top
Tan slipper shoes with orange trim
Shades of blue scarf with little orange flowers
Black short jacket (my only lightweight)
Black bag

Well it was only mean if he said it meanly. Perhaps he was just thinking he was helping and wouldn't you prefer him to comment before you go out than when you come home.

BackforGood · 10/05/2014 22:25

It depends on your relationship / the way it was said.
My dh doesn't tend to comment on my clothes, but if my 17 yr old ds said it to me, then I'd have tried a different jacket (or whatever) as I know he has quite a good eye for these things and I don't. I'd know he said it so he could help me look better - or not go out looking like I'd not looked in a mirror. Of course, you know your OH and we don't, so only you know if it was nasty or if he were trying to be helpful.

I think blue and black looks good but maybe not with tan shoes with orange trim and shades of blue with orange scarf too. Just possibly a little too much going on colourwise.

BindibachMilly · 11/05/2014 00:52

Anyway if you dont care what your husband thinks about how you look then that is fine. Good for you Smile. I just like mine to look at me and think "Wow".

WildThong · 11/05/2014 00:55

Yeah, but I kind of dress for me not for him iykwim.

Navy & black definitely go together. However, I don't think they go together when you're also wearing colour - they are a minimalist combo.

But that's not the point; it's more a question of whether you thought your dh was being mean or not. Was he?
