Black tights with sandals?

I think I know the answer to this - but basically - I can't wear black tights and chunky black sandals with a dress can I? Can I? I'm having a nightmare finding something to wear to posh do this weekend- had a relatively summery outfit to wear but weather is meant to be cold and rainy so need tights me thinks (also to cover up awful legs), but don't have any shoes now! Arghhhhh! Please help!

Easter Those aren't really sandals though are they? I thought the op is talking about flat sandals?

I agree with Easter. Black tights with coloured sandals or coloured tights with black sandals is a good look. If the dress is plain you can wear coloured tights? (I get that not everyone will agree that this can look nice) I also think footless can look ok, but depends on the dress and shoes as to whether it will feel smart enough for you.

At 6mo pregnant I'd just wear what felt comfortable though and not stress to much about how smart I looked but then I'm generally slovenly about my appearance

Otherwise, M&S do some toe-less nude tights that work with most sandals and are a v good colour (am v pale and get the palest).

It's a good look if your look is particularly funky. Or you are 19. Or both.
