super frizzy hair abroad

we are going to Ibiza at the end of August. I can't wait but as usual I'm already trying to work out how to manage my hair while away. At home I blow dry and straighten every day to keep it looking okay. This doesn't work abroad. As soon as I go outside it frizzes and I also don't want to spend my lovely holiday drying my hair! If I leave it to dry naturally it looks really horrendous, wide and frizzy. I avoid getting it wet during the day when abroad as I look a fright for the rest of the day but this obviously spoils the holiday to some extent.

Does anyone have any tips on how to manage my frizz abroad? I have a fringe which doesn't help and no matter how I try and wear if up it never looks nice. I have also tried every 'curl' product under the sun. I know it's a long way off but there's nothing like being prepared Smile

Also, I have just come back from a hot holiday. It was too hot for me to contemplate using the hair dryer so most days used aveda 'be curly' which smoothed out my curls into waves.
Put it on wet hair and curl with fingers or scrunch and just leave to dry. I brushed it through with a vent brush when dry and it stayed lovely and smooth, just loose waves for me, no frizz.

Aveda straightening costs just over £50 for me.I have Aveda Highlights as well and the straightening also lifts the highlights so they last longer. The protein spray used during the process means my hair is smooth and needs less Conditioner than normal.

Canny, I would be really interested in that as I love aveda stuff. How long does it last?

I think it might have to do with the water. I live in a hard water area here so need shampoo, conditioner and serum to cope with the fuzz. In Spain I only wash with shampoo, dry naturally with a little fingernail sized serum and then straighten. THEN I add a smoothing serum.

About 6 months on me.

Try to use a protein rich conditioner by diluting it in water and then applied to the tips of hair with fingers.Anti frizz products like a bit of lotion does the same trick but anyway the conditioner is preferred. The oils that are rich in Vitamin E and also Argan oil and almond oil can be used in removing frizz as they lasts longer than any synthetic products. You can use hair serum after the hair is wet for shining and non frizzy hair.
