Colours advice please!

I have no idea what colours suit me, would love to get my colours done but I'm far too skint atm.
I realise it's near impossible to say from photos but if anyone could give me any advice as to what colours may suit it would be appreciated.
This is a previous thread of mine with pics of me. I've tried the online quiz things and mostly come out as a clear/cool winter. However when I look at myself in photos, not sure if this is right..
So wise S&B ladies, can you please help me!

TBH you're as well off picking a palette you like the look of and running with it - your wardrobe will look more 'together' and mix and match etc, even if the palette isn't your absolute best. It just isn't possible to tell without a RL analysis, but limiting your palette a bit can help with putting outfits together.

And fwiw any picture of me (or, indeed, me in RL) has people assuming I'm a winter, and I'm an autumn. Have a friend with similar looking colouring who is a summer.

Have you ever noticed if pinky or orangey lipsticks are better on you? Or any particular good or bad colour clothes-wise?

TiaDalma · 01/05/2014 13:50

Pinks definitely better .. Orange/peachy ones make me look a bit odd.
I'd love to wear bright colours, but withhout knowing if they look ok, I don't think I'd have the confidence to pull it off iyswim.

Pinks are right for winters or summers. At least then you know that you need cool colours, that should help a bit.

I'd be quite surprised if you were a summer. If you suit cool (pinks) I'd have a go with the winter colours. Pure red, cobalt blue, bright pinks, emerald green etc with black, white, grey, navy as your neutrals. No cream, brown.

My mum is similar in colouring and is a summer, btw. You could be either. But trying stuff on is going to be the best idea if you can't see a consultant, unfortunately it's not really possible to tell unless you can hold colours up to your skin.
