Impossible dress challenge.....

I need to find a dress for a wedding I am going to in Spain in... wait for it... August! Thrilled as I am at the thought of enjoying guaranteed sunshine for one lovely long weekend this year, I am having a complete nightmare finding a suitable dress as everything, literally EVERYTHING, seems to be made of sweat-tastic polyester. I need something in either 100% silk or possibly cotton (or some other cool fabric) but I also need - and this is the tricky bit - for it to be within my budget which is under £100. It needs to be pretty glam too.

I know I am asking a lot, but has anyone spotted anything in their travels that might fit the bill....? TIA

Oh, nearly forgot, I am size 10, 5ft 6in, very fair skinned, my legs are not great (knobbly knees) so no short dresses - midi would be fine, though.

Cowsarescary - thank you. Banana Republic is one of my favourite places to shop so you are totally on the right track, it's just a shame about my horrible knees. Sigh... the lemon one would have looked gorgeous on a hot Spanish summer's day.

Anything from People Tree? Maybe something like this, this or this (if the print isn't too busy?).

Here's there general dress page - www.peopletree.co.uk/womens/dresses
and the ones in the sale (think there are some pure silk ones)

Tethersend, that 50s dress is just stunning, but I am not sure it's my colour. Do you know what the website is like for returns etc? I got completely distracted by the rest of the website, though, and those 1930s sailor pants are now seducing me into thinking I need to go to this wedding dressed like Katharine Hepburn.

Thank you, also, Pearly for the People Tree dresses. The second one, the Iris Pink Jaquard Dress, is pretty much perfect... but my size is sold out! Oh the frustration!!

Oasis have a gorgeous silk one. Hang on....

Here It looks ally short there, but that is probably because the model is a giraffe.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 05/05/2014 15:21
