Contouring?

Hi, I am wondering if anyone does contouring and would be willing to share some tips/tricks.

What products do you use? Are there any decent tutorials? Is there anything I should avoid? I love the look it gives but would prefer something which looks natural opposed to heavily made up.

Thank you.

I found this tutorial quite good Smile
I tend to use a light matt bronzer (sometimes just a face powder a few shades darker as am v. Pale!) and a highlighter (I use l'oreals version of touch eclat, lumi magique I think or benefits high beam) on top of cheek bones, down my nose etc.

I'm experimenting with this at the minute, although its hard to do it to its full extent and go natural at the same time!!

What is your colouring?
I am pale with a cool colouring and I found it really hard to find a shading colour that actually looked like shadow rather than bronzer. None of the Mac ones are cool enough. At the moment the best I've found is NYX 'Taupe' blusher.
Some pale people like to use a greyish purple like Chanel Notorious but I haven't tried this yet.

This blog has some good tips.

On her index page, under "C" there are links for contouring different face shapes.

Im quite fair but reasonably warm coloured with smatterings of freckles over my nose and the tops of my cheeks. I cant wait to try these out. I don't wear a lot of make up and its always nice to freshen up the look.

plus I have a job opportunity coming up for senior management and I don't want the board of directors to mistake me for the work experience girl again

Illamasqua Hollow is good for contouring. It comes in powder and cream formulations.

Kevin Aucoin sculpting powder is good too.

You want to go for something with no red/orange tones to it. A greyish brown looks more natural.
