Pink lining changing bags

Ok before DS was born I thought I didn't want one because everyone has one. I bought a Storksak Nina for £80 & I really just don't like it. I wish it had short straps as well as long. I do however really like the little velcro bits to attach it to the pushchair handle.

Anyway, my question is this - are the pink lining bags actually nice? Am I being blinded by good advertising? I'm not very trendy person - tend to be in jeans & tshirt most of the time. I've actually been using my freebie boots changing bag but fear once weaning starts it won't really be big enough for food. Plus I've just switched to cloth nappies which take up a lot more room.

Advice please!

There seems to be a snobbish attitude towards them on this site (they're tacky/chavvy/common...etc - yawn!). But they are pretty decent and well made bags, and you can carry more or less everything you need in one. Not a huge fan of their designs this year though...

Downsides are they can be quite awkward and bulky to carry around, and if you happen to get one dirty - which is inevitable - you can only sponge clean. The pink lining runs and will completely destroy the bag.

I loved my pink lining bag, got it about 5 years ago and used it for both of mine when they were babies/toddlers. I would definitely recommend. I also got a hospital bag from them. The customer service was excellent.

I bought one and sold it almost straight away. The strap wasn't long enough to go over the handles of my buggy.

Other than that it was a nice enough bag. More style than substance though. So if you like the look and it fits over your buggy, go for it!

Have a look at OiOi totes. I had both these and PL bags, and preferred the OiOi. It had little straps that go over each pushchair "leg".

I have to say that I was a bit worried they were "chavy" (don't like that word but on well). I also hate the yummy mummy bit.

Had a look at oioi bags & they are way out of my price range. The only reason I'm considering a pink lining is because I found some discounted on babame.com & I'm hoping I could sell my Storksak to cover the cost.

I've ordered one as I was worried id miss the deal so I think I'll get it home & try it out & then return it if I'm not keen.

I used a Pacapod and really liked it. The frou frou frilly girlyness of Pink Lining is definitely not my style.

Have a look at Babymel Amanda, good size, has Velcro bits for pram handle and mine machine washes fine.

MrsWildermac · 01/05/2014 08:14

I love mine. It is study, well made and v roomy - there's plenty if space for everything one needs. I've got the tote style one though as wasn't keen on the writing and preferred the style. The straps can be altered to fit over pram handle, or can be carried over the shoulder. I don'tthink I'm tacky or chavvy!

I loved mine. But a friend of mine had a radley changing bag and I preferred that. Bit roomier and plain colours.

Thanks all, I have just see the shopper tote style ones which I like more but of course that style isn't on sale anywhere. There is a navy bow one that doesn't have yummy mummy or a cupcake on the front for £35. Wah just don't know what to do!
