frizzy hair help

I have a jaw length bob (sort of). My hair is coloured monthly at my hairdressers as I would be almost completely grey otherwise (not a look I want to go for yet). The colour is dark brown and pretty gentle and I normally let my hair dry naturally but I hardly ever wear it down at the moment as its texture is so FRIZZY it's horrible. I'm assuming it's because my hair is grey (and coloured) that there's been a texture change but what can I do to improve it? My hair used to be straight and shiny with a bit of a wave. I have tried frizz ease products but they haven't done anything. Should I be using deep conditioning oil treatments regularly? I read about these brushes - are they any good?

Help please!

morrocan oil, just a couple of drops on when its damp. The new garnier ultimate blends stuff is nice too. Do you straighten it? coconut oil or henna wax makes a good weekly mask left on overnight or for as long as possible.

There was mist here this morning so I look like I have a halo today... I feel your pain.

If there is no mist however, I use this baby and I love it more than my husband!

I've never been good at blowing my own hair so this is a godsend. I honestly don't know what I did without it.

And a tiiiiiny but of coconut oil on the ends/rubbed through.

Aussie 3 minute conditioner is really good and also the tresseme 7 day treatment is really good for frizz, you activate with straightners

It really depends what your hair is like. Mine is dry so I use oil then mousse to style; I never wash with shampoo and only use non-silicome products.

I know when mine gets really frizzy it's time for a cut!

Hello! Welcome to my world. Used to have nice hair with a wave. Same colour as yours. How old are you? Me entering perimenopause and hair now as dry as a bone and a frizz frenzy. I also use Morrocan Oil, also found some lovely cheap shampoo and conditioner in Sainsburys (made by Palmers - same people as do the body butter/oil). I now straighten my (short bob type thing) every day and it looks much better - except the day and night time sweats make it look not quite so straight and lovely. Sad

Maybe try using henna to colour it rather than dye? Lush hennas are easy to use and you can mix them together to get the colour you want. I've been using it for a couple of years now and the condition of mine has improved so much.

i second the aussie 3 minute stuff, i use the reconstructor once a week. have you tried a serum?, i smooth it over my hair once its dry and straightened and that really helps keep the frizz at bay.

Thanks for all the tips, the aussie 3 minute stuff is on my shopping list for this week. I used some of the palmers coconut oil protein treatment (called something like that - a sachet from super drug) last night and couldn't leave it on for as long as I'd have liked to, but it has made a difference today.
Am feeling very tempted by the rotating hairbrush dryer too...
and THEBESTPIGEVER yes, perimenopausal too, didn't realise that would affect my hair too. Angry
