Fed up of skinnies

Because I feel I have to find find tops long enough to cover at least half of my bum.

What's the alternative? Confused

I love my straight leg jeans. Don't make me look super wide like bootcut does!

Mine are the pear shape ones from Evans and they fit beautifully.

Twinkle I love a good denim flare but they require heels to be worn at all times.

I'm a reasonably slim hour glass and boyfriend jeans look hideous on me. I'll be sticking with skinnies until bootleg come back (the latter only with v high heels). In the meantime, when I don't want to wear skinny jeans, I wear sknny cargo trousers instead - a bit slouchier than skinnies but still fairly close fitting and flattering.

501s were the original boyfriend jeans. Then they bought out a girls version too

MyrtleDove · 04/05/2014 16:36

Remus have you tried straight leg jeans (not sure on the difference between them and boyfriend jeans!)? I'm an hourglass albeit not a slim one, but straight leg jeans look so much better on me than bootcut ones - bootcuts make me look shorter and wider.

Straight legs look awful on me. A slim bootcut works well on me with heels (the Oasis ones) but I haven't worn them for years. Skinnies are fine on me, though I took some convincing.

How are boyfriend jeans meant to be worn?

Also, is it ok to turn up the ends of other jeans that aren't boyfriend jeans?

Op, I found Levi's ID curve range to be really flattering. I've got huge hips but flat belly and I find only the Levi's fit properly throughout. They are pricey though, and I tend to stock up when I'm in the US, where they are about a 1/3 of the price here.

Not boyfriend jeans unless you want to look like one of Dexy's Midnight Runners..

My teen wears boyfriend jeans and, I think, that's where they should stay. I did laugh as they're call MOM jeans - a Top Shop in-joke, surely?

Uniqlo's straight jeans are good. A few years ago they did a straight cut skinny, or a skinny cut straight Confused and they're good.

I got MiH boyfriend and they aren't saggy on the bum. I think they are just a warm spring / summer jean though - good with sliders / Birkenstock.

I got girlfriend jean from top shop which are nice but very high waisted. I'm going to try the gap straight ones too - try going a size up to get the baggy feel.

I've heard good things about Next denim but not had chance to try on.

I get confused about wearing boyfriend jeans - all the pictures you see show them with rolled up bottoms, but agree with the poster who made the Dexys Midnight Runner comment! If I buy them long enough to be worn with heels, they definitely need to be turned up at least once or twice when I wear them with converse.
