Hair emergency

My daughter decided to go a 'peroxide blonde' much to my dismay. She put on a couple of boxes as she has very long hair which went really blonde on top and an orangey mush colour halfway down the back of her hair. She then put on a tone down solution which turned her hair a purpley bluey horrible horrendous colour and it feels so dry. I really need some helpful suggestions has she has to go back to school on Monday (why do teenagers think they know it all??)

I'd go to a hairdresser and get them to fix it.
If money was an issue, as it could be expensive, I'd try a light brown semi to see if that could cover the mess.
good luck.

As an emergency , Head and Shoulders shampoo can lift colour and Vit C.

You could try washing with the H&S with some high potency Vit C tablets crushed to powder. Then condition like fury ( maybe coconut oil?)
These should be available locally and won't damage her hair,

Can she wear her hair up for school, coiled in a bun?
But in the end, it looks like a hairdresser job.

As a hairdresser I recommend that you take her to a salon and let them sort it out.
It sounds in really bad condition she may need a good cut and any other colouring will have to be done with great care, different colours will have to be used in different areas to even it out.
Don't attempt at home

My friend had a bleach/dye emergency (it went green) and we solved it by putting henna on it. Yes she ended up with red hair but it was lovely and glossy and even. Good luck!

I did this to myself a couple of years ago. I never learn Grin

Hairdresser is your best bet, although I made DH go and get me a mid brown semi permanent dye as soon as the shops opened the next day (I refused to leave to house) and bunged it on.

The colour came out fine.

I did use a lot of those Aussie 4 Minute Miracle things afterwards
