To fringe or not to fringe? (Pics)

Hi all,
I'm debating having a full on fringe, I have a sort of side swept affair going on ATM, but it just gets in my eyes and ends up getting clipped back.
So I'm calling on you lovely S&B ladies to ask if you think I would suit it? I'm thinking of something like this
Thanks!

Firstly, wow! You are stunning!
Secondly I think you definitely have the bone structure to ph it off, maybe get it longish so you can clip it back twisted/quiff it on days you don't want it down. It won't take long to grow out into a side fringe, I say go for it.

jerryfudd · 13/04/2014 11:33

You have lovely hair (jealous) and think a fringe would really suit you. Go for it (but don't forget to post more pics) and you can wear it down or pin it back for 2 looks

cookielove · 13/04/2014 11:35

Fringe :)

RobinSparkles · 13/04/2014 11:37

I think it would suit you. Better than Lucy Meclewatsit (I think she looks a bit odd with it).

Go for it! Even if you don't like it it will grow out within a few weeks.

TheKnightsThatSayNee · 13/04/2014 11:43

Does your hair get oily easily? That would vent only reservation because a fridge looks terrible with oily hair.

WipsGlitter · 13/04/2014 11:44

Go for it.

Mrs4561 · 13/04/2014 12:06

Thanks everyone Blush
I think I am going to do it.
theknights my hair isn't particularly oily although I don't wash it as often as I should but I can always just wash the fringe as tie the rest back can't i? I know that sounds really lazy but my hair just takes forever to dry as it's so long. I was tempted to have it all chopped off into a bob at one point and I'm so glad I didn't!
Right I shall book an app at the hairdressers, maybe try for Tuesday so my mum can have ds, and I shall be back to post pics!
Anymore opinions in the meantime are very welcome Smile

I just put my finger over your forehead and squinted so it looked like a blunt fringe just above your eyes (am I making any sense here??) and you would look amazing with a fringe. Really would bring your eyes into focus.

StatisticallyChallenged · 13/04/2014 12:47

Fringe. I have a highish forehead which I think you do to, and the fringe really draws attention back down my face to my eyes.

My hair's a similar length to you, and I frequently just wash my fringe.

Google the sali hughes back and forth method for drying it - gives a perfect full fringe every time.

I think a fringe will really suit you.

Mrs4561 · 13/04/2014 13:40

Just had a look at the Hughes YouTube vid, thanks for the tip, looks really easy to do too Smile
Right, definitely going to do it, Feeling quite excited!
Thanks ladies, I tend to think about things a lot and then don't go through with it, but I am determined!
While I'm at it and have my pics up, can anyone help with colours that might suit me? I really don't have a clue...
Tia!

Do you think you are cool toned, or warm toned? Does gold or silver suit better? What colour are your veins?

theresnowheretohidewithachip · 13/04/2014 15:14

I think it would look fab. You are stunning.

Mrs4561 · 13/04/2014 15:30

Wrt skin tone, I'm not sure, I know yellow based foundations look better than pink, but I think this is because it counteracts the pink in my skin iyswim? I think my veins are more blue than green and I also think silver suits better than gold. But I have no idea if I am just trying to convince myself the I suit cool colours rather than warm, because that's what I prefer. Does that make any sense?
I tend to wear black, white and grey, but would love to know which (if any) brighter colours suited me as my wardrobe is rather dull!

StatisticallyChallenged · 13/04/2014 16:11

I think I know what you mean. I used to wear more yellow foundations but have now accepted they always made me look a bit ill!

Have a look in to seasonal analysis - you look a bit like a clear winter to me. Megan Fox and Courteney Cox both come under this group

However...I am absolutely not an expert!

JokersGiggle · 13/04/2014 18:32

Go for it! I asked for "Taylor swift" hair and it looks great (and I look fairly similar to you) Smile

GrassIsSinging · 13/04/2014 20:09

You could deffo carry off a full fringe. Your gorgeous. If you dont like it, it'll growmout quickly anyway. I have a full fringe but within 4 weeks of gettingit cut I can revert to a side swept look as it grows that much (and often do, as too lazy to go back for regular fringe trims).

GrassIsSinging · 13/04/2014 20:10

*you're

TiaDalma · 15/04/2014 16:47

Update!
For some strange reason when I reset my password, mn changed my nn back to one I had a while ago, but hey ho.
I did it Smile .. What d'ya think?
I'm not 100% I must admit! it doesn't look like I imagined it to. May just need a couple of washes to get used to?

It looks great, I really like it.

I would love a fringe but have a cow lick and it ends up looking strange.

Envy Those blunt fringes look edgy and cool.

StatisticallyChallenged · 15/04/2014 17:38

I think it's nice - I think what has happened though is what happens to me after the hairdresser where the fringe doesn't sit quite right because they've left it too long to dry.

The difference it makes to your eyes is amazing - look at it compared to the earlier photo, they're now the first thing you notice.

TiaDalma · 15/04/2014 17:44

Thanks guys!
I definitely do think she left it too long to dry, I had a side swept type thing before, and now my fringe is wanting to sweep to that same side, I think it will be better when I have washed it myself.
Do you think it needs to be thicker? It keeps separating, leaving gaps in it and I'm not sure whether more fringe would solve it iyswim?

StatisticallyChallenged · 15/04/2014 18:47

See what iit's like when you dry it sali hughes style. Mine looked like that when I left the hairdresser but I think a fair bit of the central hair is currently sitting to the side.

You could always just go and soak it and do it yourself - just run the fringe/very forward bit under the tap!

Millyblods · 16/04/2014 09:55

You look gorgeous with it. Really really stunning. Suits you.
