How many hand bags to you own?

I've just been sorting out/decluttering/tidying. DH says I have far too many bass cluttering the house. I counted 6 under the bed (evening bags/clutch bags) and 10 under the stairs which includes work bags and messenger bags etc.

I actually don't think thats many. I said I'd ask mumsnet. He reckons 3-4 will be about average. Please tell him he's wrong?

I wouldn't know where to start to count, loads and they are all over the house

I have about 5, but I buy so much makeup I have no money left for bags

To everybody that doesn't carry a bag, where do you put your things? Your purse? Your lunch?

I have about 20 bags (possibly more) mostly because I never get rid of one unless I've damaged it! I usually use 2 or 3 different ones depending on the outfit.

What were the reviews like? I've bought from there a couple of times but never sold

Wow some really enviable bag collections on here. Boots are my main thing.

I never feel fat buying bags or boots.

About 16 or so, I think, but I haven't counted.

Some comment on wit and memoir of a wardrobe, really put me off,although I know lots of people who bought stuff from them and had them checked and it was all genuine,and were really happy with the experience,

That looks like rather a lot when I see it written down. A few of the bags are old and could probably do with being passed on to the charity shop.

Wow! Some really lovely bag collections on here. I suppose of a style and beauty section you will find people who like S&B and are able and happy to spend more money to fulfil their passion.

Having a bit of a sort out at the mo and four are in the charity shop pile. I should get rid of a few more but I love naice handbags...

Do you talk about handbags with your friends. Does anyone ever say "ooooh, look, I love your new Balenciaga!!" I just cannot ever imagine witnessing such a conversation.

No grown up handbags, I carry my stuff around in a fabric bag from Claire's Accessories with an owl on it!

It's a source of great mystery to my DM why I have never grown up enough to want a handbag. I don't care about shoes either, any spare money goes on books!

Yes, often. Even my male boss notices when I have a new bag and asks me about the designer

I have lots four are in the lounge as I type plus most are purple

I was outbidded on another last night

Dp asks for the cashcard sometimes I say in the bag he replys which one I say the purple one

minty- I suppose it depends who your friends/ colleagues are and whether they are into bags.

I don't have any designer bags anyway but I have a couple of friends who spend a lot of money on clothes, bags, etc (spot the ones without children)!! I'm sure they would be interested if I bought a designer bag. The rest wouldn't spot one, I'm sure, except perhaps a Mulberry as they are so popular everywhere.

Yeah my best friend and I would have that conversation. She is a fashion journalist though.
