I am dithering (swank) over whether it was the aquascutum trench - new, in lovely pale bone - or my miu miu bag. Has anyone else done that well?

Don't know what's happened to the pound signs on my phone Hmm

MarshaBrady · 12/04/2014 10:18

I did a swap shop thing, and really like the yohji yamamoto military green jacket I got for £5. They priced it very high at £160 but I used credit from dropping off clothes. It's been very handy this spring.

Chloe Marcie leather handbag, bought for £35 and looked online after and they sell for over £500. I don't own any other designer items. My clothes are normally from Dorothy a perking, asda etc... I didn't really know anything about designer bags just saw it and liked it.

A pair of new Birkenstocks for £1
2 white stuff skirts for £2.50 each.

Not many bargains to be had at our local ones - ours seems to stock a lot of Primark clothing, usually marked up more expensive than its original cost!!!

PartTimePunk · 12/04/2014 12:04

The most beautiful NoaNoa blush coloured and beaded skirt. I love it, but it's nothing like I would normally wear. In fact I've never worn it as I've no idea how to style it. I should really start my own thread with a picture of it to ask for ideas!

TollgateDebs · 13/04/2014 20:34

A number of very expensive ties for DH at a £1 each
Brand new Burberry Trench Coat - £10
Salvatore Ferragamo bag - £1
Olsen jacket - £7
Boden jacket - £20, but cost per wear must be in the minus figure now!

Lambzig · 13/04/2014 21:38

Wallis green silk, slashed back, halter neck gorgeous summer ball dress Grin

I walked into the shop & one of the ladies said she didn't think they had anything to fit me; the other said - hang on, there's that green dress upstairs...

Corygal · 13/04/2014 22:30

Derek - I volunteer too! We get a measly 25 per cent discount and no lunch or bus fares tho so the only perk in return for a lot of very hard work is getting first look at the stuff. You do better than people at the Sally Army! And what a creditable list you have....

I forgot to say when I started the thread that I got a Mulberry Bag for a fiver in a local charity shop (not the Sally Army, was local hospice shop). Everyone's buys are really inspiring tho'.

Corygal good grief! that's amazing - were you shopping in a very wealthy area?

midnightmoomoo · 21/04/2014 20:58

We have one near us which sells everything got 99p so anything bought in their is a bargain! Last week I bought a lovely M&S cardi for work, looks like new, 99p and as I'm in with year 2s all day if it gets ruined it won't matter!

midnightmoomoo · 21/04/2014 21:02

NeverKnowinglyUnderstood · 21/04/2014 21:02

Polyethyl · 21/04/2014 21:08

My mum got me a beautiful silk skirt, for £5, from a red cross shop in Belgravia. Lovely.

PotatoPolly · 21/04/2014 21:21
