That do reliable fittings?

FWIW Marks and Sparks think I'm a 36C and I can get into an old 34 D I had from there as well.

Any advice appreciated by my flappy post pregnancy norks.

Thanks

Rigby and Peller, Conduit Street!

firsttimekat · 09/04/2014 19:17

I second them! amazing service. Do consider booking an appointment if you are time pressured.

Dollydowser · 09/04/2014 19:17

There is a Bravissimo just a few roads away from Oxford Circus. If you look on their website there will be a store locator & probably a map.

SorrelForbes · 09/04/2014 19:20

I second the Bravissimo flagship store near Oxford Circus.

If M&S measured you as a 36C you're probably more like a 32F.

SugarAlmond1 · 09/04/2014 19:22

Thank you for your suggestions.

Are Rigby and Peller very pricey?

Isn't Bravissimo for those with larger norks?

As you can tell - I've only ever been to Marks before!

Well even if you end up buying very little / nothing in R and P you will at least find out what size you really are...

SugarAlmond1 · 09/04/2014 19:24

I would feel that I had to buy something if they went to the bother of measuring me. IYSWIM

If you're an M&S C or D - you definitely are the right size for Bravissimo.

SugarAlmond1 · 09/04/2014 19:28

Sorry to be a bit TMI, but they feel a bit empty / flappy - certainly nothing like as full as they used to be.

Does fullness, rather than size matter? IE I seem to have a lot of half full flesh.

God it sounds so attractive.

Rigby and peller. Amazing. And bras last...

IloveCheese11 · 09/04/2014 19:29

Bravissimo is on Margaret street, just round the corner from the Oasis on Regent street (behind the giant Top Shop).

TondelayoSchwarzkopf · 09/04/2014 19:34

Have you measured them like this?

SheherazadeSchadenfreude · 09/04/2014 19:34

Bravissimo or R & P. Don't go to JL, their fitters are terrible, and reduced DD2 to tears the other week. Debenhams are better.

Flibbertyjibbet · 09/04/2014 19:44

Sorry to hijack.

I've been on the bravissimo website as we don't have a shop nearby and am feeling confused with the styles.

I bought a few bras after being 'intervened' last summer and the only one I wear to look my 'best' is a Freya one with 'up and forward' style.

Our local Debenhams only had 4 freyas, two were moulded cups which I've discovered don't work for me regardless of brand, and two very flimsy looking styles. Also tried a half cup from Bravissimo a few months back but the style just isn't right for my boobs. Full cups are terrible on me as my boobs are quite high and that style makes them look like they are up to my neck.

I want proper hoik and point boobs every day!

Can anyone tell me which bras on the bravissimo website are best for that?

SugarAlmond1 · 09/04/2014 19:53

Tondelayo I did try but the results were confusing as I have this flappy half full norks issue.

OK - I'm considering going to BOTH places - starting at Bravissimo and if they laugh me out of the shop for being too small then going to R + P.

Sorry about your DD Sheherazade and thanks for the heads up - I will avoid them

Bravissimo won't laugh at you. What were your measurements? being a little empty post baby can make a bit of a difference, but not as much as you would imagine.

Flibberty - what shape are your boobs? Are they fuller on top or bottom? small gap between them, or large? Wide root (so tissue under your armpit) or narrower rooted (more upfront)

whattoWHO · 09/04/2014 20:17

I was in a bravissimo at the weekend (Milton Keynes). They were fab and fitted me in a 36gg where I had previously believed myself to be 40fish. Thoroughly recommend.

I've also been fitted by Rigby & Pellar. Great service and a brilliant fit. I bought a bra that (at the time) was very pricey. But I wore it to death because it was so comfy and gave me such a good shape. A very worth while investment.

Flibbertyjibbet · 09/04/2014 21:23

I would say they are quite rounded. Def not spaniels ears. in fact up till a few years ago I was roughly the same shape braless.

Sure they are quite wide as with the old m&s bras I looked middleagey with them sagging out and sideways. I used to push them in and up with my hands, and that's what my luvvly Freya bra does. There is also not much gap between them, so each boob is more like a poached egg shape I suppose!

Def needs up and out shape bra though, once I get them into more pointy mode than rounded, I look half a dress size smaller up top.

Am wearing a moulded bra just now, in my bravissimo size of 34e (M&S 38b of course....) but they look flatter and not as separated in the middle.

battery going on laptop and dp using charger lead so am not being rude if I don't reply to any suggestions tonight!

StatisticallyChallenged · 09/04/2014 21:50

OK, so something quite upfront and rounded, but not a cleavagey plunge? Have you tried Cleo - their unpadded balconette styles like marcie, millie etc give a good upfront shape, but the gore isn't low so no cleavage. The most upfront bras are the polish brand - Ewa Michalak, Comexim and Kris Line. But, if you are relatively close set (I am) then most of them will not give you separation

Incapinka · 09/04/2014 22:11

If you make it r&p be warned that fittings are slightly different.... Wink

Flibbertyjibbet · 09/04/2014 23:01

No I haven't tried cleo will have a look online. Gets very frustrating ordering something online when what I need is a big pile of different ones to try.

StatisticallyChallenged · 09/04/2014 23:25

I know. Amazon and brastop do free returns. I once ordered the same bra in 6 different sizes because it was a brand I'd never tried, so I know exactly what you mean!

polyhymnia · 09/04/2014 23:30

Definitely Rigby and Peller. I never go anywhere else.

Flibbertyjibbet · 10/04/2014 09:09

might try amazon - never thought of them! - as they do free delivery anyway on orders over quite a low value.

I ordered from bravissimo last year after these threads started. I NEEDED to order about 10 styles in 3 different sizes, but the cost is prohibitive even though they do free returns. Of the ones I got that I thought were right for me, they turned out not to be, so it was money wasted as they'd been worn and washed since I realised. I did ebay them and got some money back, but this whole bra intervention thing has been very expensive for me.

I don't mind paying out for good bras with the new wonderful fit and shape that the correct size gets me... its just all the wastage along the way!

StatisticallyChallenged · 10/04/2014 09:13

I confess that I often give bras a relatively long try on session before detagging
