Advice on nails

I'm a constant nail biter but I'm getting married in a few weeks and I'd like lovely looking nails. I don't want them really long, I'd just like natural looking nails which I can have polish on.

I used to bite my nails very badly, what sorted me was going for a manicure seeing how much better they looked and wanting to build on that. This was many years ago but these days I would say go for a manicure where you have gel nail varnish applied. The results are beautiful shiny nails and and soon as you put them anywhere near your mouth you realise it's a lovely smooth surface and take them out again.
I have been having jessica geleration nails for about 4 years now and every time the varnish is removed my nails underneath are healthy and lovely.
I have now resorted to buying my own Sensationail machine and the varnishes and doing them myself because £35 a time was getting silly. I do mine every 2 weeks as they grow a lot not because they chip etc because they don't. To remove them I buy acetone remover from superdrug really cheaply , put about and inch depth in a small bowl and soak them for about 10 minutes, they then just need some gentle scraping off with an orange stick and re-applying. The jessica varnishes are £15 each online and I estimate the costs of doing them myself are about £2 once you have bought the machine. I got mine in boots and it was from memory about £70

So would that be like a gel overlay? Because at the minute my nails are quite short due to the biting so ideally I would like some length on them as they do look a bit stubby, lol.

Yes but you need them to be short and stubby with gel overlay to help them grow. Even if they are short with some gel varnish on them they will look a whole lot better. It's really a varnish and NOTHING like acrylics
