No visible waist - what do you wear?

I've never had much of a waist. When younger I was straight up and down. These days I weigh more, and my measurements are 37, 32.5, 39. Not very curvy! Belts seem to emphasize that I have no waist. So what do you wear if you have a similar figure? No amount of losing weight helps. I lose weight off my bum, not my waist! For work I tend to wear long tops over black trousers or black skirt. I sometimes wear wrap dresses, but just think i look fat. I wear size 12/14, which i don't mind.

Plumpy, so maybe long tops over tight jeans with low slung belt around the hips?

I have no waist and smalish bust. Empire line tunics work well for me but they're hard to find.

Yes Kazza, I wear slim on the bottom and loose on top with a nice hip belt :)

I think I need to find a nice belt Smile

That is nice!

Following, since reaching age 36 middle aged spread has set in and my waist is no more!

Also following. Agree that empire line tops works well if you have small bust but they v hard to find.

Lynda, I tried for ages to get a cheap rip off version before asking my hd together me that one for Xmas!

I'm pretty straight up and down (but a pear if I measure carefully) and I avoid visible belts. They look awful on me. Wrap dresses are not great either. I also avoid clothes that cut me in half, tunic length looks pretty bad on me (because the focus is on the hip/saddlebag area where the hemline falls).

What works: cropped jackets, dropped waist (empire makes me look pregnant), shift dresses (=no waist), miniskirts, A line dresses (=no waist), full skirts, flared leg.

Anything that gives an illusion of curves tends to work really well on me. Curved hem tops for example are fantastic. I have great legs so tend to emphasize them. If you make your good bits the focal point, nobody will notice the rest!
