Wedding dress that doesn't need to be a wedding dress

What sort of shops should I be looking at for a wedding dress that doesn't need to be a wedding dress?

I think grecian style would be the closest to the sort of thing I'm looking for.
White is nice but not adverse to cream or even a gentle aqua (is this a huge no?!), strapless and some under bust detail would be nice.

If you have seen anything like this, where?

I'm also open to other ideas, I'm a size 8, 5ft 5.

Look at bhldn - it is anthropologie's wedding brand and it has some lovely dresses that sound right up your alley. Lots of different colours too, and around the us$200 mark.

I got married in a palest dusty pink Ghost dress. Lace top - taya or something like that.

Ooh yes - I had a birdcage veil from Lilybella, they do lots of different styles if you search through. I meant to just wear it for the ceremony but loved it so much it didn't come off until about an hour before we left the reception.

My phase 8 dress arrived today and I love it. Just need to choose some shoes and decide between sit ups or spanx.

I got mine off ebay for 41.50 all in if I want to I can get it shorten after and wear as a party dress
