White jeans - yay or nay?

I always like the idea of white jeans as an alternative to blue denim in the summer. But...I feel a bit 'Liz Hurley' in them. You know, trying a bit too hard to be young and glam.

Also, I hate seeing the linings of pockets through the fabric - why bother with real pockets if the fabric isn't thick enough to hide them? If I felt right in them and they fitted properly I'd take out the linings and sew up the pockets but not found a pair that do it for me enough to be bothered with that.

Thinking maybe of giving these a try.

Gap do make their real straight in white but they don't fit the same.

I do tend to size up in white jeans. Whilst I like pale pink in principle they do tend to create that 'naked' look.

Boden's white jeans last year are more cream.
I have the straightlegs,they look good rolled up a bit.

Am looking out for a truly white pair,not skinny but slim.

Oh, I didn't know Gap did white real straight. Shame they don't fit the same. I need straight, not skinny.

I looked for Hudson Beth(?) last year on MrsCB's advice, didn't have them in my size. I did however manage to grab a denim pair, so the trip was not wasted

Am with you on the Gap real straight lurking - my favourite jeans. I have them in every colour.

Haven't seen white though. Shame it sounds like they're not the same fit.

Thanks for the vote for the Next jeans fox though I suspect they won't be the right shape for me they'll be worth a try.

Just got myself a cropped pair from White Company. Looking forward to wearing them.

I've worn white jeans of various cuts, for many years and always felt really good in them.

I have just done a post of me wearing them, I'm a size 14 and I don't reckon they look bad. Not sure about wearing them with the kids around though, maybe one for dates with the husband. Mine are from Joe Browns and I pretty long (I'm 5 foot 7)

Very pleased with them but I do find with the next white jeans that the waistband stretches out very quickly

I was going to wear them out tonight, but the sky's are black here and it's supposed to our down so I will look like a numpty
