Star I am in Ayrshire too. The debenhams in Ayr does have a personal shopper if that would make you more confident in any way.

You are a brave brave woman, hold your head up high. If there is any way at all I can offer support please pm me.

I'll give them a call. Thanks I didn't think they did. I just need an honest opinion on whether I look shit really. I'm planning on trying to get something on Tuesday so will wear my jeans and boots and see what I can find. Well unless I get something online.
Thanks guys. Feeling less anxious about the clothes now

Looks good - classic and simple.

HelpfulChap · 23/03/2014 13:06

No advice on the clothes but I just wanted to say how much I admire your bravery and to wish you good luck.

Hear hear.

Ok I went for this and a nice pair of black trousers. Do you think it's smart enough?

Yes, I think it's fine, high neckline and longer sleeves is a good choice.

ILoveWooly · 25/03/2014 17:59

The top is nice. Best of luck for next week.

I wish I had read the thread earlier, I am in Ayrshire too and would have happily helped.

Ask advice from victim support or who ever is helping you through this. I'm studying to be a barrister and have been told navy blue and not black is seen as more sympathetic to the jury, may be navy trousers/ skirt and a navy and cream top. May be a string of simple pearls look classy.

Don't wear anything you are uncomfortable in as you will feel awkward any way. It will show.
I would really speak to victim support or the people who are caring for you throughout your case.
However if you wear black it's comforting and not a problem. I wear black all the time. I only feel right in black.

Take care of yourself. Xx

Just seen your choice. It looks perfect. Proud, not stuffy but not disrespectful. The very best if luck. X

I think your choice looks great. Best of luck in court
