Dotty Ps have heaps of longer black skirts at the moment, One of those and DD's cheap burgundy H&M blouse would surely be better.

and plain white shirts if you don't have a jacket look terribly school boy if your under 30 and just dull and boring if your older.

DH and I have a running war over this. Since he never wears his suit jacket, I keep replacing worn out white shirts with stripped ones.

I just looked up H&M's black dresses. There are plenty of shirt/wrap/structured dresses that would be fine.

A lot of the comments on that article are saying much the same as us (without the excellent links- I think we've bested them there)- one I thought was spot-on was that the bloke looks like a school boy just back from playing footie on his lunchbreak.

Terrible! No wonder business dress is dying a death!

Both the man and the woman look bloody terrible for an interview. I wouldn't give them the job!

In all honesty any canny charity shop dresser who needs interview clothes will have found them. I've got a black wrap originally from TopShop which would work (for me - am small and bosomy) fine. Or a linen mix summer dress from Jigsaw.
