Style tips for size 16/18 visiting Paris... PLEEEEASE

Am going to paris for a couple of days in september, but have literally NOTHING to wear. Have spent most of the past 3.5 years trying to lose weight, but am currently size 18 top/16 bottom half. I have nothing at all that looks nice and don't want to walk around Paris looking like an unmade bed (as my mum would say). So any tips? My style is generally casual (cropped jeans/combats with t shirts etc) so don't want to go too OTT. My thoughts are possibly smart skirt/smart jacket (to cover the bulk) but don't really know where to start. Any tips really really appreciated. thanks in advance.

oh surprise , i would nt go to much expense , bet u'd find something in M & S, that would work day & night. something big - its the rage - and shoes, something that will work in to autumn,

Tesco is a great place for stylish cheap clothes. They currently have a nice black dress with pokadots which would do well. You don't mention if you are curvy or not? They have a number of nice tops there too.

v large on top (40DD) with waist 35 and hips 40 (how horrid does that sound??). 5'7, but don't like to wear heels as DP only an inch taller than me. been doing some Windows shopping today, and think that a fitted jacket in grey/taupe might work, along with cropped black trousers. Have several black t shirts. In the back of my mind is the idea that DP might be viewing this as a "special" weekend (if you get my meaning) so don't want to look like a ragbag just in case. PS if it's not what I think then at least I can go back to wearing sacks on my return!!!

I've got that cardigan - in black from last year. V versatile - wear it w straight skirt, jeans or wide trousers and lots of different necklaces.

Another good shop would be Monsoon they have a fab sale on at the moment go up to size 20 and believe it or not they fit great. I'm a G cup and they fit really well.

The Orla 3/4 Sleeve Ballet Wrap Top would do great with trousers & skirts. (their website doesn't do weblinks so great or I'd link it).
