has anyone tried picosure laser for tattoo removal yet?

I've heard very good reports about this and as part of my mid-life crisis I'm booked in for a consultation next month. I only have a small tattoo that needs to go so I'm hoping it will be zapped in a year or so.

Anyone else?

I'm about a year in to my tattoo removal. No idea what type of laser it is though!

AFAIK there's only 3/4 picosure lasers over in the UK so far. I'm going to the clinic in Esher, I think there's also one in bluewater.

cardamom is it very sore following treatment? I can't afford removal just yet but even when I can I'm wondering if I'm going to have to cut out the gym for a week or two each time, the tattoo is on my stomach.

Mine is on my outer thigh and is about the size of my hand, so probably larger than your one. It hurts when it is done - they should put on local anaesthetic cream, but take strong painkillers about 30 mins before your treatment. The day of treatment it is sore and stings, but otherwise it's fine. Even though I think I heal quite quickly, I'd be surprised if you were off the gym for more that a few days.

My DH has been having his not very big tattoo zapped for about three years now. No sure what kind of laser, it crackles and sparks, each one breaking down the ink or something. Has about 200 zaps in a go, very red and swollen the next day but finally starting to fade.

I've had laser tattoo removal, dunno what sort of laser it was, though, probably not the one you mentioned as I had mine quite a few years ago.

Mine used to scab over and you do have to be careful not to crack the scab or it can get infected (I did and mine did get infected).

Well im in the same situation and going to go down this route. How did you find the experience? The majority seem to go for the cheaper option (but TBH to get rid of the thing I think we need to resolve to use the expensive option).

And it is driving me insane, so looking for someone who has been thought it.
