Does grey marl suit everyone?

I always thought it did, but saw someone on another thread say they can't wear it. I love it and wear it all the time (cashmere jumpers and plain t shirts mostly) just wondering now if I'm wrong to

It's one of those colours I don't think suits anyone But not you, of course, OP. Depends on the precise shade

I don't think it does. I've always worn a lot of it because I thought it was an easy neutral but then I got a silvery-grey marl dress in the sales after Christmas. Loved the jumper and the style but somehow seemed to look and feel yuk in it. Realised it was the colour doing me no favours. Charcoal grey works better for me so I presume it's the same for others.

I love it but can only wear it against colour, so my lovely slouchy grey marl jumper looks awful with black skinnys, but lovely with my deep red skinnys. I tend to wear a statement necklace with it too so i have 'something' near my face. Then i dont look too drab

No. It totally drains me.
Lots of women look gorgeous in it though!

I guess I'm thinking of stained tracky pants and shapeless t shirts rather than cashmere OP I'm no style queen at all, btw, but I think if you feel good in it then it suits you. It does drain pale complexions though.

I'm warm-toned (dark hair, brown eyes, cream skin) and it washes me out a bit. Have a skirt in it though which I love, I can wear it away from my face.

I am pale. Ghostly in fact so there's nothing to drain! Medium, flat greys look horrid on me but charcoal or silver grey marl seems to work.

And have almost black hair and eyes. OTOH I've seen lots of tanned blondes who are basically the opposite of my colouring look great in it...

grey marl is really good on me too OP. also baby blues, and petrol-dark grey blues. can't wear black or broght colours. I too am pale, used to be really pale but am only quite pale nowadays. I've looked online at those colour things and think I'm a summer.

You can be warm & pale or cool & pale IYSWIM, I'm very pale but definitely warm. If you think it suits your face - and esp if charcoal does too - then it probably does.

I don't think there is such a thing as a colour (or a style) that flatters everyone. I look shocking in grey marl but charcoal is fine. I'm pale and I've no idea what season I am but generally anything too light, dark or bright makes me look like death warmed up, as my mum would have put it. However if you love it, who cares!
