Why have I only now discovered L'oreal hair products?!

I'm a kerastase masquintense user (for about the last ten years) and although it does work to make my thick frizzy hair softer and more manageable, I still found I had to follow it with kerastase serum and a careful blowdry/straighten to make my hair actually look nice (I have bad frizziness around my temples in particular which is a nightmare to manage). Have tried a whole load of other things including argan oil (= greasy mess or no impact depending on how much/little I used) but this was probably the best solution until I stumbled upon these two on sale about a month or two ago:

Just thought I'd share as my hair is in the best condition it's been in for a long time. I'd like to try more of the sulphate free treatment masks now too.

I should add - I use them both, after shampooing. The conditioner first, rinse out, then the treatment on for about 30 secs.

I went sulphate free a few months ago and it's made a huge difference to the condition and manageability of my hair. I use the shampoo you linked to as well, although it's often hard to find.

sorry I mean I use the L'Oreal sulphate free shampoo (you didn't link to it) and the first conditioner you linked to.

I used to used the first conditioner you linked but no longer do since there still seems to be some dubiety regarding L'oreal's stance on animal testing.

Is the second one silicone free? I've just finished using the shampoo and conditioner (I also found it hard to find them) and wasn't all that impressed. I am more strict about avoiding silicones than sulphates.

I've tried lots of silicone/sulphate free ranges and the best I've found so far is the Dr Organic Argan Oil shampoo and conditioner from Holland and Barratt.

Mythic oil is amazing too !

The treatment isnt sulphate or silicone free AFAIK. Actually just checked and it definitely has silicones - amodimethicone.

What is this mythic oil dame ??

There's no dubiety, they do test on animals :(

I've got thick frizzy hair (including the frizzy temples!) and my hairdresser put me on to L'Oreal Professionel products as they use in their salon, which are silicone-free.

I buy the Vitamino Color range in large bottles from a lady who sells on eBay under the name "Absolute-Hair-Care" I'm not on commission.

Certainly not cheap but my hair is much better for it. I have tried switching back to cheaper products but none have left my hair looking/feeling as good.

FWIW, my hairdresser told me the only high-street products she would use are Aussie ones.

You smooth mythic oil through your hair before drying, its fantastic for frizzy hair. Extraordinary oil is good too, smells gorgeous.

I can't stand Aussie products Norm ... tried to buy into the hype but they are crap IMO!

Off to google L'oreal professionel! And mythic oil! (although haven't found oils in general to be anything special)

Silicones coat the hair and build up on it, you then need harsh shampoos to strip out the build-up, the harsh shampoos also strip out the natural moisture so you end up having to use more silicone based stuff to smooth it again, they give the illusion of good condition.

I agree about Aussie products, awful imo, they ruin my hair. Loreal all the way for me

I'd heard they had claimed to have stopped Armani then that they had started again. :( Either way, on that basis using their products is not for me. (Nor you by sounds of it).
