I've bought a few and was wondering which one to wear to a ball, but it's not super super smart I'm not so fond of my arms and hips but will wear a cardigan over any of the non-sleeve dresses.

Opinions please! Be as harsh as you like as there are a lot

Which one is the most comfortable? Because you do look lovely in all of them!

saintmerryweather · 06/03/2014 19:43

Please dont cover up you have a beautiful figure and the dresses look gorgeous on you. I like number 5 best but I think number 7 is 'younger' so I would go with that

SabrinaMulhollandJjones · 06/03/2014 19:46

You look lovely in them all, but 7 is my favourite.

No need for a cardi, honestly. but tidy up your room Grin

TheresLotsOfFarmyardAnimals · 06/03/2014 19:52

I think you look fab in 3 and no cardi issue. I'm the same re arms.

scarletforya · 06/03/2014 19:52

Number one or number seven.

The others are more daytime looks.

AcaciaBeez · 06/03/2014 19:56

haha Sabrina I did look at the mess behind me and think about picking things up but thought 'ah i'm going to get back into those trousers so let's not bother!'

3 is lovely and no cardi, result (I hate my arms too!).

Used2bthin · 06/03/2014 20:03

I like Five and I agree, a pashmina in case you get cold but no cardigan you don't need it.

MrsBennetsEldest · 06/03/2014 20:04

1 and 3. No cardi. What shoes will you be wearing?

bialystockandbloom · 06/03/2014 20:10

I like 2, 6 and 7 best, also think they do most for your figure - which is great Smile

TenThousandThings · 06/03/2014 20:11

6, no contest.

bialystockandbloom · 06/03/2014 20:11

Think 5 is a bit frumpy, sorry.

buttercrumble · 06/03/2014 20:15

No 6 is amazing very Jessica rabbit Smile

AcaciaBeez · 06/03/2014 20:27

I'm so confused now - I think I will try them all on again

I'm going to wear some black high heels, not bought yet so open to suggetions!

Also does anyone have any ideas of how to accessorise black dresses? I'm totally clueless but I was thinking large gold jewellery?

bellablot · 06/03/2014 20:31

3, 5 or 7 but number 3 looks the best.

mrgarybarlow · 06/03/2014 20:32

7 and 1

bialystockandbloom · 06/03/2014 20:35

Large gold jewellery would be good. Personally I don't like too much shine with black as think it looks cheap, so prefer cloudy/smoky kind of stones - so things like smoky quartz, opal, moonstone etc.

Though if you prefer bling, go for very minimal diamonds (eg just pendant/earrings), if you have them Grin

bialystockandbloom · 06/03/2014 20:36

Rose gold is lovely too and very 'in'.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 06/03/2014 20:37

Number 7 by miles and miles. Don't like one at all and the others look dull to me. The long sleeved low neck ones are a bit 'Sexy Nun' which may or not be okay! You have a really lovely figure and 7 flatters it best - it's simple and elegant and you do the rest, so that you matter more than the dress, imvhol

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 06/03/2014 20:37

And gods no to cardigans!

AcaciaBeez · 06/03/2014 21:17

Yes, I'll just wear those £££ diamonds I have stashed away under my bed!

I think I'll go looking for some rose gold (it sounds lovely and will be back here for advice!)

Another vote for 7, deffo not 2, others are a bit much-married-lady-of-50.

Try & Other Stories for jewellery.

And your arms are fab, get them out.
