Help! I'm 5ft2 and built like a barrel. I need a dress to wear to a wedding.

I have to go to a bloody wedding. For 5 years I've gotten away without going to a wedding, now there is a definite one and a possibility of a second no less. I need a dress. I'm small, and at least a size 14 with massive norks, flabby arms and post baby flabby belly (though that excuse is getting old at this stage). I'm a definite apple shape, but empire line just makes me look pregnant. I have no idea what is in and I need style gurus to give me dress ideas. I've a budget of no more than £100. Help me please!!!

You will be the only one to notice any difference in boob size.

Alternatively, you could go for a simple plain shift or wrap dress and wear it with a smart structured cardigan or fitted jacket in a strong/contrasting colour.
The jacket/cardi would need to be a very good fit on the shoulder, or you could try a very very fine knit belted at the waist.

Just in case anyone was wondering how I got on, I have a dress!! I tried on a few of the suggestions on this thread and for various reasons they just weren't right. I found an amazing dress today accidentally in TK Maxx that looks fantastic. I can't find the exact dress online but it is very similar to this one. It looks really flattering on - I love it. Thanks for all the suggestions, I really appreciated your help and advice. dress
