high-end "investment" jeans

Inspired by the thread on how to look "so put together," I've decided to invest in those stupidly expensive jeans that guarantee to make your ass look great, flatten your tummy, and last you years.

Only, which ones are they?

I'm an apple shaped and prefer high waist and so far have shortlisted the following

NYDJ (not your daughter's jeans)
7 FOR ALL MANKIND
J Brand

Anyone has these? Do you love them? Any other jeans you swear by?

My list is currently influenced by Selfridges' website, so I'd love to hear from anyone who has bought these or any other high-end jeans. I plan to live in mine. Grin

Thanks everyone for their feedback! I did venture into the denim studio of selfridges in London and found the choices overwhelming. I lose the will to live if I have to try on dozens of jeans. Did find it amusing to see a primark section in selfridges denim studio Smile

I just bought Paige Hoxton high waist after an appt at the denim studio in Selfridges.

Would definitely recommned the appointment sarah, he brought lots of different ones to try, J-brand, nuddies, Paige & others I've forgotten. I definitely liked the Paige best but went off & found them online £75 cheaper.

He also got me in the right size which was nice (esp as it was smaller than I was wearing!).

Hi Stokey- if you see this (I realise I'm a little late)- where online did you find cheaper Paige jeans? The US website strikes me as expensive and certainly no cheaper than buying here, but a lot more choice.
