Does anyone else have tiny wrists?

Beeyump · 03/02/2014 16:21

Mine are scrawny in the extreme, and as a result it's hard to find bracelets that don't slip down/fall off altogether. Also, watches have to be done up to the very last hole, and even then that's usually too big. Confused

Anywhere that caters particularly for the wee of bone?

I think it must be normal hugoagogo as I can do it too and my wrists seem to be of an average size.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 03/02/2014 20:55

No idea if it's normal. People have told me it's freaky in the past but they might have been freaky themselves in not being able to!

JuanFernandezTitTyrant · 03/02/2014 20:56

I am a size 14-16 everywhere else. My leather strap watch is on the tightest hole and my metal strap watch has the maximum number of links removed and they're still flappy Angry. It's particularly bad at the moment because I have lost a load of weight bf DS1.

I want to know who the people are with these humungous wrists?! They must exist or else they wouldn't make stuff so big, surely?

dexter73 · 03/02/2014 20:57

Maybe it's not the size of their wrists that is freaky but they have really short fingers?!

DameFanny · 03/02/2014 21:01

My wrists are 15cm and they're categorised as small, so you all must be teeny tiny Grin

SmallestInTheClass · 03/02/2014 21:01

My nickname says it all. I have little wrists and hands, and small ankles and feet. I've asked a jeweller or a key cutting place to add an extra whole to a leather watch strap, they usually have a tool to do it which makes a neater job than me hacking away with a knitting needle.

Onesleeptillwembley · 03/02/2014 21:04

Even having put on a fair bit of timber I'm still the same. And my ring fingers are still both size 'I'. Same as when I got engaged and married, 25/26 years ago.

Starballbunny · 03/02/2014 21:09

DH is a dab hand at watch strap link removing and strap hole punching not only does he do it for me, but DD1 too.

Ankle boots drive me crazy, I have size 4 feet, which not surprisingly are connected to my legs with fairly skinny ankles. I do not want boots that flap about, they are cold, uncomfortable and look ridiculous with a skirt.

I've given up trying on M&S boots as I could get another leg in theirs.

Twoandtwohalves · 03/02/2014 21:10

I have small wrists. I was just thinking the other day I should finally admit defeat with bangles. I bought a lovely bracelet a while ago that had a mega ethic clasp, unfortunately it kept slipping down my hand and I opened it every time I opened my hand, managed to not quite drop it down the toilet a few times so returned it before it was irretrievably lost.

I have metal watches with lots of links taken out. I have taken belts to have extra holes made into shoe repairers (oh to be able to use those holes again) and can imagine them being happy to do the same to watch straps.

cloudskitchen · 03/02/2014 21:23

yes me. they are ridiculous. smaller than my 11 year old daughters. so are my feet. I wish everything else was proportionate to them Grin

Twinklestein · 03/02/2014 21:29

Mine are 13cm. I've ended up making or remaking bracelets, it's actually quite fun. My granny had very small wrists and I've inherited her bracelets as they didn't fit anyone else, so that's handy.

rollonthesummer · 03/02/2014 21:30

I've just measured mine and they are 13cm. I tend to buy children's watches and bracelets. I have a small Pandora and Trollbeads one-they fit well.

HalfSpamHalfBrisket · 03/02/2014 21:35

Me! Tiny little wrists. Tiny little ankles.
Not so tiny rest of me = Thelwell Shetland pony effect.

ummingandahhing · 03/02/2014 21:35

15cm here!

But the thing about my arms is that where most people's start to thicken up along the arm, mine don't for quite a bit so it looks like I have these ultra long alien wrists. Confused

Starballbunny · 03/02/2014 21:51

As the rest of me apart from size 4 feet, teen girl hands ankles and wrists is size 16 - Thelwell Shetland pony is a perfect description Grin

ummingandahhing · 03/02/2014 21:56

I also have tiny ankles but huge calves so I have chicken drumstick legs. Blush

Jacksterbear · 04/02/2014 11:10

Mine are 13cm too! My favourite bracelet, one of the only ones I can wear, is the one in the photo (bought second hand), which you can tighten by pulling the links through each other.

I too have tiny ankles but giant calves!

KatnipEvergreen · 04/02/2014 11:14

I have tiny wrists and a slender neck . But massive wide kneecaps. It's weird.

HesterShaw · 04/02/2014 11:15

My arms, wrists, legs and ankles are light strings of spaghetti. Unfortunately far from having dainty wee hands, I have large capable shovels. They look like a farmer's hands.

So very elegant.

Beeyump · 04/02/2014 11:15

I have huge, knobbly kneecaps! It's like they belong to someone else.

OP posts:
HesterShaw · 04/02/2014 11:16

Like, not light.

Beeyump · 04/02/2014 11:20

Light works too. Gives a 'flyaway' sort of image of your limbs Grin

I have 13.5cm wrists. Never had a problem with wearing watches. I don't wear bracelets that much so not an issue.
I'm currently wearing a babyG shock resist sports watch on the second to last hole.

lainiekazan · 04/02/2014 12:56

I have to wear children's watches and gloves. My hands and feet are tiny. Plus side is that I get some fantastic bargains in shoe sales.

MumbleBag · 04/02/2014 13:04

Just measured mine out of interest and they are 13cms too. I have always struggles with bracelets and watches. I have a Storm watch that fitted when all the links were taken out. Would love a Michael Kors style watch but sure they wouldn't fit. Might try looking for a children's watch now!
