On a whim I bought a foundation brush from H&M, the stippling type one, with the flat surface.

I've used a Lancome foundation brush for years, the one that is basically like a paintbrush.

The H&M one is far cheaper (£5.99) and gives a much more natural finish.

It's the best thing I have bought in years and I felt the urge to share.

Ooh thanks for this. I do quite like H&M's cosmetic range tbh, it's a bit underrated. It's really improved since the 90s.

Oooh thanks for the tip op Smile
Did they have a kabuki brush by any chance?

treaclesoda · 31/01/2014 19:08

I think I did see a kabuki brush in the display but I'm not 100% sure.

They seemed to have a couple of different sets of brushes, one with black handles and one with white/cream handles, and they were different prices but I'm not sure what the difference was.

The one I'm so impressed with has a black handle.

ok,what is a kabuki brush, should I have one,am I odd not already having one.....

A kabuki brush is one like this, you use it to apply loose powder or mineral foundation.

Is it this one?

treaclesoda · 31/01/2014 20:23

yes, that's it. It's lovely and soft and I find it particularly good for covering up red patches rojnd the sides of my nose, I seem to be able to just work the foundation in and it still looks natural.
