Fashion types, can you help with my ugly/clumpy sandal search!

But I'm not paying £300 and even if I did I would bet Marni will not fit my wide feet very well.

Whistles Odeile but they're out of stock.

I've been trying to find cheaper sandals like this - flat, clumpy but with an element of colour/designer style and avoiding total granny style. But a) I can't quite put my finger on what it is about them I like and b) I can't seem to find the right search terms to find the right kind of thing.

So I just really want to see if anyone knows what I mean, has seen any nice ones or knows where to look! TIA style mavens.

Clarks have an Orla Kiely range which I wouldn't describe as ugly but are quite chunky and retro and great colours.

Thank you both - I love the orla kiely but sadly can't do heels (will fall over) but that has led me to look at some other clarks options, and I like the saltwater too.

I have tan saltwater's and I absolutely love them. I'm going to get a new pair or two for this summer.

Hmm not sure but I'm considering some saltwaters. Boden shoes never look right on me, I have big, wide-toed feet.

What I need is kind of a fashiony, everyday version of this. I don't actually want them to look like sports/trekking sandals but have a similar structure IYSWIM.

I have taken to wearing menorcan sandals (varca ones). They are really comy but I think you are looking for something more stylish.

Your £300 ones are gorgeous OP, but I think turquoise saltwater ones are nearer my budget and a colour I actually wear.

I've been looking at the Saltwater sandals. I need a very comfy pair of sandals for city break sightseeing in the summer and I'm wondering if a pair of silver or gold Saltwater ones might be the holy grail. Any feedback would be useful. Have also heard you need to size down.

I think saltwaters are very comfortable, the only downside is the tan lines you get on your feet.

Advent you are right, it's much too early to be buying sandals, but I like to do a LOT of window shopping before I decide. Sometimes I can talk myself all the way into and out of a trend I'm interested in without ever actually buying anything (saves money!) - but sometimes all the research pays off when I find THE ONE!

Oh and, I wear a 5.5- 6 uk and have a saltwater size 7. I could probably get away with a saltwater 6 as they're not narrow and the leather gives a bit. They're my favourite ever shoes.

This spanish ones look v comfortable but I need a bigger toe opening, to reveal toenail pollish.

Here's another look I love - plumo but again out of stock and I'm not sure about a wooden clog footbed.

Yes sizing info would be great, website says to order a 5 (which makes sense from some trainers I bought literally 30 years ago, that were odd us ones were 5=4.)

I don't think the soles look too comfortable for all day though and I'm not entirely sure what your criteria is?

Oh, just noticed, they only have size 4 left All the flat sandals seem to be really small sizes.

Some of ecco's range has a trainer-like sole but with a more delicate upper (Groove/gladiator range) not sure on choice of colours though.

Simply Be have a good one with a zip down the back, didn't notice the sizes in stock though.

I've got some good, flat sandals that I've had for years and won't throw out as they are so, so comfortable and I can wear them all day. I forget the make, will have a look and tell you tomorrow.
