From curly hair to straight

For those who have curly hair but straighten it, what's your method?
What shampoo/conditioner do you use?
What kind of brush?
What products?

Does your hair stay straight all day?

Get a good heat protection spray, that will help with static and help to keep it straight longer by stopping the damp/humidity getting in.
I straighten immediately after using the hair dryer. Spray hair, pin the top layer of hair in a clip and work the underneath first. Unclip, and straighten the rest. Generally, for the next 2-3 days all I need to do is just quickly run over my hair again and it looks as good as new!

Happy straightening!

Sorry, I should add, I use any kind of shampoo and conditioner, but I do make sure I always use conditioner if I am going to then straighten.

My method is same as Chucky's. Good straighteners are key. I have GHDs and they are really good.

day two all it needs is a brush and maybe a curl under at the back if i slept on it funny.

i just use Dove colour care shampoo and conditioner. Nothing clever.

I've got long fine curly hair, I will shampoo and condition it blow dry and then use tresseme keratin heat spray before I straighten it (ghd's)but it never lasts all day straight and end up putting up in a pony tail!

oh that's annoying I bet. Mine's only chin length and where i live is very low humidity, which might make a diff.

Weelady77 That is annoying! I use Tressame spray as well. My hair is long and very thick and takes a while to straighten but thankfully lasts though.
