Should i still be able to frown after botox?

Had it done for the first time before Christmas. Went for the frown lines. My forehead has become a fair bit smoother and my eyebrows shot up but was still completely able to frown. Went back for checkup last week and doctor gave me a top-up as explained still have complete movement and frown lines. A week later and it is exactly the same! Can I go back to the clinic again or do I accept that botox just doesn't give me the desired result? My forehead does look smoother but not £200 smoother!! I understand it might take a few goes for the 11's to diminish but surely first go should relax my frown?

Go back. They need to know if it's not worked.

Is your frown permanent or just when you try to frown? If it's the latter then that sounds fine to me.

Ut's just when I try to frown. My forehead is pretty much completely smooth when at rest. But I still get the 11's and the furrowed brow when I try to frown. I wanted some movement, in that I could still raise my eyebrows, but the doctor gave me the the impression that when I tried to frown I wouldn't be able to. And I can.

If its not what you want you should go back.

Though I think that 'good' botox should allow you to have expression, when you can't show expression its the sign of a bad job (unless its what you want).

Yes I agree I don't want to look completely frozen. But I thought still being able to raise my eyebrows would give me the required movement but without being able to frown. There is a bit of difference in that it has definitely smoothed some of the lines on my upper forehead. And my eyebrows are more arched. But it doesn't appear to have done anything to the target area that i actually wanted diminished. From reading other threads on here people talk of it feeling weird to begin with when you are not able to frown but then getting used to it. I haven't had any of that.

But I will go back after the 2 weeks to see what they say.
