Facial hair woes

NC for this. Not really sure why. Anyway..

I am starting to discover random face hairs over the last few months. I have one on my cheek that grows really long, I pluck it and forget about it until I notice it starting to glint in the light.

I also went to get my eyebrows waxed recently and the lady very pointedly asked if I wanted my upper lip doing too...Blush

The icing on the cake was yesterday when I was sat watching TV and idly playing with my earlobe when I noticed a really long fine hair (about inch and a half) growing from it! Arghhh! How long had that been there, merrily waving at passers by?

Luckily I'm fair so it could be more obvious but still... I have now taken to inspecting my face verrrry carefully to make sure no more of the buggers have sprouted overnight.

Anyone else experience the same after having children (my son is 14months) or is it my age (31)?

I get dark ones at random points on my chin and along the bottom edge of my face. I do get a long one on my cheek that I don't seem to notice until it is huge. I also get hairs on my moles. I am now getting white hairs in my eyebrows and that is depressing. I pluck any of the above that I find

Oh yes, I also now have the odd white eyebrow hair. And really long ones like a 90 year old man.

I'll be 40 this year and the facial hair growth seems to be speeding up exponentially! I found the first little sprouty chin hair when I was 20 but since having first dc at 33 they've exploded and I now have a couple on my cheeks I have to keep an eye on as well as loads of chin ones (coarse white ones which can be seen in bright light as well as black ones which can be seen in any light!) Fortunately I'm under 5 foot so not many people notice the underside of my chin, but my DC sometimes tell me I'm "bristly". I find that plucking twice a week or so keeps things under control but I know in the long term I'm doomed as both my mum and grandmother had very bristly "old lady" chins. Sorry to say I think there's a strong genetic factor with facial hair. Still gran and 2 great aunts lived until nearly 100 despite smoking their whole lives, so at least my maternal-side genes are good for something even if they come with a side order of bristles. Grin
