For under £200?

No.

I won't.

Unless...?

I'm lusting after these...
auntsanduncles
Do not know what there are like but apparantly they are well made.

dingdong3 · 18/01/2014 15:47

Here we go again then tether ;) sorry to hear the Radley didn't work out...at least you could return it. I never got one in the end...decided I wanted the Boden one after I'd returned it and it went up in price.
What about Nat & Nin? I just thought of them - was at their press day and the leather is lovely. Matt/nubuck soft leather..gorgeous.

tethersend · 18/01/2014 15:58

Thanks dingdong- I thought I'd found the perfect one on Nat and Nin a few months ago, and ordered it- it was completely flaccid Grin honestly, I swear they have a taxidermist to dress their bags for the website.

Such a shame as the leather was lovely.

I got the Angie in tan- really wanted to love it, particularly as it's DD1's name, but it was literally just the leather backed with fabric, it had no structure or shape at all.

That might explain why all the bags were hanging on a wall display at the press day - I wasn't able to try any of them. Will keep any eye out for you. What about The Bridge? A bit over budget tho.

lurkingaround · 18/01/2014 16:27

I like the Nat and Nin in the grey. Shame it's not so nice irl.

thebestnameshavegone · 18/01/2014 16:29

Buckitt

its over budget but I've got one and they fit everything in?

travailtotravel · 18/01/2014 16:30

I ended up with a Mia Tui which takes everything - laptop, 2 notebooks, folder, all my make up crap, wallet, two phones and a tablet as well as my coffee cup. I was reluctant as I wanted leather but am fully converted after a thread on here about the usefulness of a cupholder.

It helps of course that i read the thread, checked out the website, then checked out ebay where I bought a more or less brand new one for about £20 including the postage.

It is mahoosive though - like having a whole other person to carry with me on the train but finally, I have everything all in one place. Am organised and turn up at multiple client meets with the right papers, in the right place at the right time.

thebestnameshavegone · 18/01/2014 16:30

should have said scroll down for the tan one

tharsheblows · 18/01/2014 17:48

There's someone at Spitalfields with a stall of gorgeous leather bags he designs and has made. I think on Thursdays and another day - less than helpful, I know. If you walk on the inside past Benefit on your right, then he's up on the left, I think kind of opposite Montezuma.

HowGoodIsThat · 18/01/2014 19:14

I have something like this:

www.fiorelli.com/product/jasmine-grab

Any use?

HowGoodIsThat · 18/01/2014 19:15

Oh arse - forgot the little bracket doohickeys

THIS!

tethersend · 18/01/2014 22:33

Ah thanks all- I'm really not loving any of those. The topshop is probably the nicest, but it still seems a bit square and nondescript.

Thanks for trying though.

A Storksak Elizabeth in tan? I know it's supposed to be a changing bag but I used mine for client meetings with A4 notepads and docs and an iPad, but that said I never tried to fit a laptop in.

MissBetseyTrotwood · 18/01/2014 23:06

I have this for work. It's heavy though. Fits an A4 folder and folds down and over when there's smaller stuff inside.

MissBetseyTrotwood · 18/01/2014 23:07

Mine's not that colour though. More a conker colour.

Batmam · 18/01/2014 23:33

Gap has a nice tan satchel
(Here goes my 1st attempt at a link...)

Not keen on the others, thanks all.

I'll do this thread again in a couple of months and turn the whole of MN against me Grin
