Bare Minerals

Been on the search for the perfect foundation and I think I might just have found it thanks to threads on this forum!! Thank you. Got my Bare Minerals starter kit today and can't believe the magic it does. True test will be whether it dries my skin out or not, because most skin care products do.
I bought the kit for £29 from lookfantastic.com. Think I need a concealer for under my eyes and wondering whether anyone could recommend any other websites to buy BM products from please?

Going to keep an eye on this thread as I bought the jml mineral foundation and that's really good so would love to try the BM oneSmile

Bare Minerals is my best beauty discovery. Ever.

Stays on all day, gives you a wonderful glow, easy to apply...fabulous.

Just another option - look at Lili Lolo - I love it

WhereIsMyHat · 16/01/2014 21:37

I bought some last year and wanted to love it but it just made my sling look dry and more wrinkly than it is. Does anyone know where I went wrong, I so wanted to love it.

MrsSchadenfreude · 16/01/2014 21:39

Bare Minerals makes me look like a dehydrated, wrinkly old hag.

I love bare minerals but it dries my skin horribly unless I use a primer. They do one which is good but you can buy Lanacane Anti-chafe gel (not the medicated one!!) and it had virtually the same ingredients and works perfectly. It's about a third of the price!!

A decent moisturiser and primer will prevent the dry wrinkly look...

WhereIsMyHat · 16/01/2014 22:11

I have the bare minerals primer but still get the wrinkly, dry look. I think it just doesn't suit my skin.

Cheesyslice · 16/01/2014 22:17

Might just be that it doesn't suit your skin then. Are you caking it on (be honest now Grin )

It's the kind of make up that looks best with light coverage, heavy application = 'cakey' dry appearance.

WhereIsMyHat · 16/01/2014 22:22

No, I'm definitely a less is more make up-er. My skin isn't dry either.

Have they brought out a creamy version now? I wonder of that would suit me better?

Moisturise
Primer if you want a flawless finish (I cba most times)
And build up slowly - Twirl, Tap, Buff

When you buff, sing Happy Birthday to You twice to yourself (all the way through)
That's how long you need to buff for.

I use the concealer on my DS if he has a particularly teen spot.
He's all "Mum, I'm not wearing make-up "

Then, "Hmmm, not bad" Grin
