It's v expensive at my hairdresser's and anyway I hardly ever get an opportunity to go as my baby won't let anyone look after him apart from me.

what do you mean by glossing at her salon?? what does it entail, i spend stacks on shine enhancers ect

bundle · 27/07/2006 18:34

what does it mean? is it like gloss paint.

who's in charge, you or the baby?

MrsBadger · 27/07/2006 18:35

do what to their own hair?

I use a glossing serum stuff when mine's wet, mostly to stop frizz, called [checks] 'Brillaint Brunette Shine Shock Leave-On Perfecting Glosser', but have never heard of having hair professionally glossed. What do they do? How does it work? How does it look afterwards?
Would this be any good as an at-home substitute?

Baby. Definitely

I'm working on getting a regular carer for him, but it could take a while... My bf stayed with us recently for 6 days. She couldn't pick him up for a second without him screaming when she arrived, and even though she tried very hard, using all kinds of enticements, he wasn't having any of it and was the same by the time she left. She was a bit peed off to say the least!

Glossing is a no-colour colour which swells your cuticles thereby making your hairshafts lovely and shiny. Lasts about 2 months and gives you that "celeb" shiny look.

how old?

charleypopspreviouslyntt · 27/07/2006 18:41

hmm, don't know MrsB - i've used loads of serums, (not that one though) but none work as well as a proper glossing...

he will if you let him

charleypopspreviouslyntt · 27/07/2006 19:14

I let everyone pick him up whenever I can, I stay in the room, I leave the room, I've left him for up to 15 mins screaming....don't know what else to do really. There's a guy at the cdc we go to who he'll allow to hold him for up to 5 mins, but only because he flings him around vigorously, he laughs his head off - but as soon as he stops, it's back to crying again... Maybe it's because we're on my own for much of the time - I have no family around??
