Do you...

  • love fashion (high and low end), style, beauty?
  • spend way more time than is healthy for anyone thinking about the contents of your wardrobe?
  • wish you had the nerve to apply for Mastermind with your specialist subject being the history of H&M collaborations?

If so come and chat! Hugs and kisses allowed

I wouldn't pay that for a gym either

But I thoroughly recommend buying an exercise bike from ebay for £30, then another £15 on a super padded seat from Amazon.

Pedalling in front of the tv is easy.

chooses to ignore the £££ treadmill sat in the conservatory which has been used twice in the last 18 months

just I've tried on my skinny flares and I don't think I'll bother posting photos! It's weird because they make my legs look long and slim but just look dated. Shame because I love them.

Feeling much better thanks and virtually back to normal. Dd is on the mend too. Weighed myself today and wow, this giving up sugar thing is great. Despite doing no exercise recently I've lost weight although hardly surprising as I've estimated I'm probably saving about 1500kcals a week!

Hello....stressful morning at work and unfortunately an open box if After Eights nearby, it's really quite incredible how many you can eat in a very short space of time Angry!!!!!!

QueenC my DH always moans about me turning the heating up, it's never him! I'm not sure about that WIT look tbh. If I wore it I'd look like I was stuck in a 70s rut!!!!Grin

Gyms......hmm, well the posh gym here costs £79 per month but although well posh, I don't have a boob job so wouldn't fit in Wink. People go to gyms for different reasons ,do different activities and value different facilities.
Shop I know I won't do anything at home (despite having a rowing machine and exercise bike thing) going to classes works for me. I'd say, if you are happy with your Pilates classes ( which are amazing for toning, posture and bad backs) then stick with that and just go to your local pool once a week....chances are it will be bigger (although not necessarily as plush).

I wore my "new" dress today with animal belt, animal pointy slippers, opaques and purple v neck fitted cardi, wafted around and felt great. 5yrs and never worn Blush I'm an idiot! Will wear it a lot. Need a few skinny belts in different colours.

I find belonging to a gym takes way more time than I am prepared to give tbh especially if it has a pool, sauna etc. As well as being too busy too lazy am another tightwad. We got a dog last year so do a lot more walking to keep fit.

Sorry you've had a stressful morning dry. Am sure the chocolate will have helped you get over it. Like the sound of your outfit today.

QueenC the jeans do look flattering ie give a long lean look, but yes they are a bit dated. Bootcut jeans are flattering too but also dated which is a shame as they quite suited me. Sounds like you are losing lots of wait-that's brilliant.

Really interesting what you're all saying about the gym Thanks
They haven't responded to my email enquiry anyway so not impressed so far.....
I do 2 pilates classes a week, and now that our old dog is no longer with us, walking the spaniel around the fields is a lot quicker (and therefore harder work) so should get me a bit fitter. I'm also having physio twice a week for my back problems so perhaps now isn't the right time anyway - we'll see. I think I'm seduced by the opportunity to swim 3 times a week in a calm environment! e.g. not surrounded by rubber ducks, spaceships and floats :)

hi

I love 'back of the wardrobe' finds, Dry. That dress sounds great.
I m having a real wardrobe rut, need everyday look inspiration.
when i saw it I thought ' WIT looks bonkers', I thought she had one of those weird monkey toys/hats. And I agree with justa she was more striking with less highlights. I like skinny flares in summer with a cute top (white/ cream with crocheted straps) or spring autumn with a jersey top or shirt jersey top here [[http://us.asos.com/J-Brand-Martini-Mid-Rise-Skinny-Flare-Jean-in-Mayflower/wg02k/?iid=1661689&cid=13439&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=200&sort=-1&clr=Mayflower&utm_source=google_product_search&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=google_product_search&WT.tsrc=Google%20Product%20Search&r=2&mporgp=L0otQnJhbmQvSi1CcmFuZC1NYXJ0aW5pLU1pZC1SaXNlLVNraW5ueS1GbGFyZS1KZWFuLWluLU1heWZsb3dlci9Qcm9kLw.. shirt here] but I think they dont work for a winter look and not with boots. I usually like WIT but not that look.
Shop I pay a good bit for my gym, but I use it 4-5 times a week for a specific facility and training. I love it. Can you see if you can sign up to their mailing lists etc- so many people join in January that they often dont do the really good offers then, but in april etc when people are starting to head back outdoors you might find they have better offers, if you are on their mailing/text/ list you ll get the notifications.

So, if you were going out for a meal and drinks on sat, local pub and trendy restaurant, it s january so not christmas party season, What would you wear folks??

Welcome back Fedup Smile

I pay about £48 pm for my gym Shop, local authority one with fantastic 30m pool and large newly kitted out gym with plenty of natural light (a rarity in Central London!) - I go 2 or 3 times a week, no swanky extras but I don't feel the need, I come home to shower and don't really like saunas and jacuzzis. Then there is - ahem - kickboxing, about £10 per class and I usually do two a week plus one private session at about £25 a go - but I don't pay for any of these when we are away in school hols as we do for the gym. In answer to your dinner question, heels, skinnies, vest and little jacket and nice clutch probably Smile - or maybe a www.pinterest.com/pin/320600067193403348/dress with opaque tights and high boots?

I have a big furry scarf like WITs though mine is burgundy not orange. I love it. Skinny flares are just a no for me.

Good call on the mailing list Turquoise - and on waiting a few months.

Sleep how can the gym be cheaper where you live? Stamps feet.... life is so unfair. Huffs off. P.S. I love that VWA dress....

Or Shop you could pop into the gym just before the end of the month as they often do offers on an individual basis when they are trying to meet their monthly targets.

High fives Grumpy - I am sure you won't regret it - they are a thing of beauty! Let us know if it is still love when they arrive (I am sure it will be)

I knew you would grumpy! Wink

We will need pictures when you get them!

Very Envy about the hair! Unfortunately that kind of sharp haircut won't work with my wavy/frizzy hair.
