I am not in the U. K. So forgive me if this is a stupid question as there are no shops where i live.
Are they similar quality wise, style wise and price wise?

Quality wise, yes. Style wise, no. I find Whistles a bit more pared back and minimalisitic than Jigsaw who tend to add more detail to clothes.

I'd broadly say so, they are the two shops I probably shop at most - I'd say Jigsaw is a bit safer, slightly older market, Whistles a bit more fashion.

Similar quality
Different style jigsaw more classic, whistles more fashions/edgy
Similar price

Jigsaw used to be great in the 80s and 90s - every season it had fashion must-haves, great prints, plus classics - now it has very dowdy clothes, mumsy prints, dark drab colours. Don't know what happened.

Whistles used to be great too until the ex head of Topshop took over & turned it into an expensive version of Topshop.

For a similar price bracket I prefer LK Bennett, which is generally better quality. But it's slightly more conservative than Whistles.

I used to adore Jigsaw and coveted 90% of what they did - until around 10 years or so back. Then they went downhill. Now they are slightly better imo but the prices are silly- £95 for cotton trousers etc. Have good bargains in their sales if you can find your sizes.

I find Whistles a bit odd- mainly manmade fabrics and expensive for nothing special. I'd like to like them- but never bought anything.

I really like some of Whistles tops but they are very minimalistic ... Jigsaw I haven't really shopped at for more than a decade - used to love it when I was young!!!!! now find it a bit drab and dowdy but still good quality. I had to fight with a shop assistant at Jigsaw and call in the manager once when I returned a faulty top that I had bought in the sale (sold as perfect) ... they didn't seem to know about the Sale of Goods act ... so that's also put me off them

Yes, Jigsaw was terrific in the 1990s. I had a particularly fabulous little coral-pink suit with a short skirt...

I do possess some Jigsaw garments now, of a silk/linen frock nature, but mostly purchased in the local charity shop and worn with the sort of footwear you're not supposed to wear them with.

Pixel I recently had 'words' with Jigsaw HO on the phone because they didn't know consumer law about refunding postage for returned orders. They said it was not their policy to refund outgoing postage for returned items- I told them it had nothing to do with policy it was trading law.
