Hi

Lost 2st last year and it's really abt time to change my wardrobe - have bought a few essentials to keep me going but the majority is too big and outdated. Want a yummy mummy style, am 27 and size 10. Effortless looking!

Where do you start without going out and buying the wrong stuff?

I get ideas from Pinterest. I recommend!

I'm sure you will get people saying you should get your colours done and i will leave that advice to the experts as I haven't had mine done (although v tempted to). I use Pinterest and style blogs to build a portfolio of styles and looks that I like and go from there really.

Well done on the weight loss btw!

Don't buy anything that's fashionable just for the season, e.g. none of that geometric shit littering the shops at the moment.

What parts do you want to emphasise, OP? E.g. waist, up top or legs?

daisydee43 · 12/01/2014 20:28

Zizzo - I spose up top as I'm not that toned and small chested so need to emphasis them

I think it can be one of those things that comes with getting older. I had a real scattergun approach to style in my early to mid-twenties, but I'm 30 now and for the last few years I've found myself going back to certain labels for the building blocks of my wardrobe. My look is quite casual - I love Clemence Poesy's look, for example, and try to work along those lines - and I can also see myself in terms of my friends' style, in the way that it differs from mine.

Absolutely get on Pinterest. Tell us - whose style (celeb etc) do you like? Usually we're instinctively drawn to appreciate the kind of dressing that could potentially work for us, iykwim?

Oh sorry, I just saw that you said you wanted a yummy mummy style!

But what do you mean? With examples Grin

I always wore mini skirts and dresses in teens so I want a more grown up look but is simple to throw together
