Lumea v Nono

I have decided I've got to do something better about hair removal. Waxing end up with in grown hairs, epilating the same, despite vigorous exfoliation. Creams don't touch anything. In grown hairs are extremely painful and I end up with cuts everywhere trying to dig them out.

I'm shaving currently it's horrid. Makes my legs itchy and awful stubble rash on bikini line.

So can you tell me a des things before I lay out or dh lays out huge amounts of money. Does it actually remove the hair? What a silly question I know. But the u tube vids have confused dh. As all involved have silky smooth legs. So does the hair fall off after use. How long does it take to do a whole leg up to the knee?

What's the difference between No no and Lumea?

I don't know about the No No but I have a first generation Lumea and it worked pretty well. I had to stop using when I got pregnant second time round in 2011 and haven't used it since then but need to get it out as have more hair growth now. BUT it really has helped slow hair growth down (legs and arm pit area).

Like you, I had ingrowing hairs in the bikini area (yuck) and stubble on legs was a real pain in the neck. I had my bikini line done professionally in 2009 and despite the high cost, the results have been (and still are fantastic) so I don't even really need to use Lumea on bikini line. A quick shave now and again gets rid of any rogue hairs that grow back.

If you look at Amazon, you will find some very detailed reviews of the Lumea - I found these helpful before purchasing.

However, the results are nowhere near as effective as a professional laser job - the machines are so much more powerful. The Lumea is a more affordable way of tackling larger areas at a fraction of the cost. It won't permanently get rid of the hair, but it really is effective at reducing growth and any nasties like ingowing hair. Which was perfect for me (I am pale with dark hair).

No idea how the hair disappears - I think it is kind of burnt out? You need to use it a few times before you see the results.

The reviews of NoNo are terrible. Even on websites like qvc which moderate the reviews, they aren't great. I'd definitely miss it out.

AFAIK, the Lumea has a better reputation. The nono reviews are generally pretty damning (unless on the no no site, of course Wink)

Thankyou ladies. Dh is being swayed as cheaper. I needed done back up. So do you use Lumea and then shave? Slightly confused.
