In my defence:

I've bought some new wellies (hooray) mid-calf length, mainly to walk down the garden so I need them to go off and on quickly (which is why I didn't buy full length)

I put a memory insole in (they were a bit roomy but the size below was too snug) so nice and cushioned but the top of them is gapey.
I can't put welly socks in with the insole., but I thought mmmm, legwarmer thingies would do

I only need them if I;m going to do a lot of walking, otherwise my shins would get rubbed
Where do I look for such a thing without looking like the total 80s throwback that I am?

Oh, fo'shure Remus Grin Darts you say. That is cruel and unusual behaviour.

Meanwhile on FL, I've just see one of those blouses that buttoned up down one side military style. I had one in a purple tartan (with a silver thread running through) with a pie crust frill collar. It was the first item of clothing I ever chose myself Grin

I wear leg warmers at home with leggings or skirts in the summer and with boots out of the house in the winter.

Don't be ashamed....embrace your inner 80's child.

More importantly don't ever wear them with heels unless you want to look like a stripper.

oh yes and practically...mine are also from H&M. I have them in cream, grey and black.

I did become very interested in some multi-coloured leg warmers in topshop which were very rainbow-brite esque but stopped myself. I think that was the right choice but I'm not sure.

I've just started wearing leg warmers again for the first time since the 80s. I wear mine with a pair of high wedged suede boots and skinny jeans, I pull the leg warmers right down to the bottom of the wedge at the back and low on the front and have them slouched down to bottom of calf- I love them!

monicalewinski · 11/01/2014 14:37

Disclaimer: would only wear with high wedged boots, not high heels with separate heels, and not shoes!
