I've seen this mentioned on here before and seen people raving about them.

I'm a new mum and would love something like this to sort my boob length fine limp hair out.

I had a look online and there seems to be different types...
Babyliss curl secret
Babyliss perfect curl
Babyliss pro perfect curl

Which is the one I want to go for and would it work on my rubbish hair?

....and how long does it take to 'do' your hair with one of these?

I have the curl secret. It works but it takes absolutely ages and its very hard not to miss bits. I have long hair and lots of it. On a fine bob it would work out much better.

I gather the perfect curl is a little older and is marketed to salons rather than home users.

I have the Pro Perfect Curl. I bought it when they very first came out. I believe the newer models are cheaper and pretty much the same.

I've got fine boob length hair. The Perfect Curl does what it says on the tin, they are indeed perfect curls Grin... But, it doesn't lift your hair at the root, so if your hair is fine like mine, then you still need to spend the same amount of time blow-drying it beforehand to get some lift and body into your hair.

There’s loads of ‘how to’ videos on You Tube. I tend to section my hair off and start from the bottom and work my way up. I do one side first then the other. I do my hair on the highest setting for the tightest curls because it drops within an hour or two, and by the end of the day (or night) I’m left with big loose waves. Mine never lasts until the next day but plenty of people with thicker/more hair get a few days out of it. It’s very time consuming, to do it properly and make sure I haven’t missed any bits takes 30 minutes or so, so I don’t tend to do it that often. I’ve never had any problem with heat damage or my hair snapping but lots of people have, so if you’re going to get one it’s probably worth trying it out on the most gentle setting first.

I find the same problem with the roots whonickecmyname. I get a better result with my old heated rollers. The curl secret was an expensive mistake for me.
