Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced moisturiser? I like

clarins for example but can't justify spending 40 quid at the moment!

What do you need from it?

SPF?
Oil free?
Anti ageing?
Sensitive skin formulation?
Brightening?

Trying to emulate/dupe your Clarins?

Budget?

Me too, I love Clarins but since DH was made redundant I've had to seriously down-brand!!

OK, I've found Simple Rich Moisturising Lotion a marvel (and it was the 'control' cream for Which? eye cream test a couple of years back and beat the top eye creams). has spf too. Also, Nivea Pure & Natural day cream for dry/sensitive skin is lovely. Lidl's own day cream is nice too and only £1.99!!!! They have two or three to choose from.

If you want to spend a bit more, then Olay do a wide range of moisturisers, the Total Effects one is meant to be good. Or try Boots No7...you could go and sample a few at a counter. Or, Liz Earle is also fab, not cheap but cheaper than Clarins!!

Have you looked for Clarins on ebay??

The Aldi Lacura (?) cream seems to do well.

I've tried & liked the L'Oreal Revitalift Total Repair 10 (in the red pump thing). About £10 and often on 3 for 2 @ Boots. Has SPF and doesn't bring my sensitive, spot prone skin out in anything unwanted.

I also like Avene & La Roche Posay's ranges. Avene's rich moisturiser is lovely but is purely a really comforting moisturiser for dry skin days, there's no SPF or anti-aging etc ingredients. Both are around £10 and again often on 3for2.

If you can stretch a bit further, Origins Ginzing is nice (no SPF) for brightening and 'lifting' your face a bit. Not particularly rich though so not ideal if you are on the drier side but great for puffy, grey, morning face!

Thanks UsedToBe - I also have a sensitive spot prone skin, I'll be having a look at that L'Oreal one!! x

Smile

DH uses it too and it doesn't irritate him post-shave (the L'Oreal). The pump is nice & clean and easy to use (no digging into pots/tubs/jars).

(It comes in a tinted version, like a BB, never tried it, I've just used the plain one)

Thanks for your suggestions Will probably try either the l'oreal one or an Olay one-they're both quite reasonable prices I think.

Thank you.....I know what I'm spending my Boots points on next!! xx

Nivea Q10 is really good. £10 but often on 3 for 2 or reduced (currently about £6 in Boots if you buy 2, I think.

If you are on a very tight budget Garnier Soft is good and only about £3-4 a pot.
